Our friend Crystal

This is my good friend Crystal. She is the greatest, and we've been friends since 9th grade. She is a teacher, and gets to be off track every once in a while. When she is, we love to play with her. Nora LOVES it when she is around because she plays and entertains her the whole time. We miss Crystal when she is too busy to play, but we are glad she makes time for us when she's off track. Thanks Crystal for being our friend!

The Thumb Sucker

Despite our best efforts to not let Tate suck his thumb, he is a thumb sucker. He loves that thing, and it's cute for now. We'll see how long it stays cute. A lady at church said he probably did that in the womb, and that makes me feel a bit better. He is a cutie, and it's nice that we don't have to keep track of a pacifier.

Tate and Solid Food

We were excited to get Tate started on solids, but it has not gone as planned. This was our first attempt. He sure is cute, even if he has to use a pink Bumbo. Nora was trying to be a good helper.

It all went well, until about a week later. He decided to throw up every time he had rice cereal.  We stopped for a few days, and tried again... then he threw up all over Sheila at church. It was so bad, she had to go home, shower and change her clothes. Sorry Sheila! She was very nice about it, but I still feel badly.
Since then, we have tried a lot of other foods, and he does well with everything... except rice cereal. Weird. Anyway, Tate loves to eat everything and would eat all day long if we let him.

SVC Summer Party

We were lucky to be able to have an evening out to attend Beau's work's summer party. We went to Solitude Resort. Since it was summer, it was pretty quiet. They gave us lift tickets, so we took a ride up the mountain. It was really high, and really beautiful. Then we met the group, and made a trek up to our dinner at the Yurt. It was so fun, and the food was delicious. We loved being able to spend some time with each other, and with Beau's co-workers. Thanks to my parents for watching the kids!
