Halloween

Grandpa Steve and Grandma Cindy were here for Halloween (because Will was being blessed), so we were able to spend a lot of time with them. Some friends from Beau's home ward were having a Halloween party, and we were able to go and see some of the old crowd.
It was a fun party, and Nora got to participate in a doughnut eating contest. It was too hard for her, so she had to have help.

It was fun for both Beau and Cindy to see friends from home, that are no longer there. Thanks for inviting us! It was so fun.

The real reason for Grandma and Grandpa's visit is because this little boy was getting blessed. It was so fun to meet Will, and see Adrianne and Aaron. Even though we missed the actual blessing. Who knew I could get lost in Provo? He is such a cutie, and we love having a cousin so close to Tate.

She doesn't look like she just had a baby, so not fair!
Taters is such a cutie!
It was good Cindy and Steve were here on Halloween night because Tate was tired, and Beau had class. They walked around the neighborhood for a while with us, so Nora could go trick or treating. Here's our cute Snow White and a Lion.

Nora and her friend E. They are so cute together, and they love to play. I get asked all the time when we can go play with E. It helps that her mom is one of my greatest friends, so we see them a lot.
Happy Halloween, until next year!

While Beau was in China

While Beau was in China, I was very sad, and scared of being lonely. So, I stayed at my sister and brother-in-law's house while they went out of town. Their kids kept us entertained and busy so we didn't miss Beau too much.
Here's a little about Beau being gone, so I don't forget. We had planned how to get in touch with each other, upgraded to an international calling plan on my phone, and thought we'd worked out all the details. The one thing we didn't know was that Beau's phone would not work at all while in China. He found that out when he got there. So after three days of not knowing anything, and sinking into a depression, I decided to take matters into my own had. I had his itinerary, and it had hotel phone numbers on it. So I called the hotel he was supposed to be in, and hoped they spoke English. After hearing them answer in Chinese. I asked if I could speak to my husband. After giving them his name, they connected me to a room. Beau's roommate answered, and told me he was at the gym. I called back three times waiting for Beau to get done. Finally we were able to talk. I think we were both so happy to talk that we didn't say much. It was so great to know that he was safe, and enjoying his time there. The rest of the trip went faster, and we made a plan to communicate, and everything was better.
It was fun to stay with the Robertson kids, and I realized that my sister pretty much lives in her van. She drives A LOT. Thanks for letting us stay, and thanks Madison, Jessica, Jerrett and Alex for entertaining Nora, Tate and me.
After Eric and Raquel came home, the kids and I took a trip with my parents. We went to Logan, on a perfect weather weekend, and enjoyed the Fall activities they had up there. We went to the American West Heritage Center and stayed all day. It was so fun for Nora, and we all enjoyed the festivities.

We swam in the hotel pool, watched BYU play football (on TV) and had good food and enjoyed out time together. Nora asks every once in a while when we are going to go to the hotel in Logan with Grandma and Grandpa again. Soon, I hope soon, but with Daddy this time.

Beau goes to China

For one of Beau's last classes for his MBA, he took an international trip to China. He was gone for 10 days, and we REALLY missed him. It sounds like it was a fun and busy time. Here are a few pictures. If you want to know more, ask Beau. Maybe he'll get on and add what they did. Meanwhile, I chose some random pictures to post.

Nora Turns 3!

We can't believe that our little baby is 3! It was fun to celebrate Nora's birthday. We had big plans... but we had to make some changes. Nora wanted to go swimming for her birthday, and so on Saturday we invited our friends and family to meet us at the Rec Center for some swimming. Then we were going to go to the Owens' house for cupcakes. About 45 minutes before we were going to leave to go swimming, I took the cake out of the oven, and turned to get the cupcakes to go in. When I turned back, Nora was trying to be helpful to push the oven rack back in... it was so hot...
So her little hand was burnt. We rushed around trying to get her to stop being in pain. The only thing we could do to make it better was hold her, with her hand in a cup of water... while moving it around. We sat that way for about 2 hours. We called everyone and told them we would not be going swimming. We still met later to have cupcakes. As soon as we got to Kenna and Grandma, Nora was fine and said her hand didn't hurt anymore. It was blistered and red for a long time, but she never complained about it again. Grandma and Kenna make everything better.

Then the next morning she got to open her presents.

She got a lot of good stuff. We are so happy that she is happy, and the burn wasn't too bad.
We rounded the day out with dinner with our friends, since we had to cancel swimming with them. Thanks H family for making us dinner, and for singing to Nora!
