We were able to have lots of fun celebrating the Christmas season. It started with putting up our tree. I love doing this part, and I'm usually really ready to take it down by New Years Day.
We spent a night seeing the lights at Temple Square. We chose it because it wasn't too cold, but we brought and enjoyed some hot chocolate on the plaza. It was a fun night.
Our stockings were hung... with care. (Nora thinks she needs to show her age in most pictures.)
We took a day and went to the free concert at the mall, with free hot chocolate. It a new tradition for me.
We made sugar cookies and decorated them. Our good friends E and her mom came to play with us.
E and Nora had their ballet recital. Aren't they adorable!
Tate doesn't want to be left out.
We started a tradition when Nora was a baby to get a new ornament each Christmas. This year we did it as part of our advent.
Nora's ballet ornament, in pink of course.
Tate is really into dogs right now.
The kids and I went to the festival of trees. It is something that I love to do, but Beau doesn't so much. The kids like it, but mostly because they get to see random dance groups perform. We probably spent an hour just watching... and dancing.
Best advent idea ever... Christmas sprinkles in our cereal. The kids thought it was awesome, and it's just like putting sugar in it, but cooler.
At school, Nora had a Christmas party. She loved it, and got this Barbie from Santa. "How did he know that's what I wanted?" Santa is amazing!
Still my favorite Christmas decoration to put out.
We did our annual Christmas Eve party, complete with the grandkids acting out the Nativity story. Always a good time!
