What a classy water fountain..... gargolye looking faces spewing water for those brave enough to drink. Hard to see but all three are flowing.I am so happy to be here in China with this good man!!!!This park has so many interesting and intricate walkways...These ladies were singing and dancing in the party, so we joined in and danced to their singing....When we don't we have grown old. This blog spot is dedicated to Anne Cannon .... Why? do you remember when Rick and I got married, and we had different doors at our reception to represent a the many doors we travel through in life...Well, here are some interesting doors that we now are enjoying here in China.
The city of Jinan has an ancient moat around the city and 4 directional entrances.East Gate is one of my favorite shopping experiences. These are live crickets, the bring "good luck"the story is a neighbor wanted one for his aparmtent and so Rick and I agreed to bring one home. However the sales man wanted the cricket to be kept warm and I was not going to carry a cricket inside my clothes to keep it warm, even in a tempoary cage. So, Rick carried it around for a few hours until we got home. It survived for several week and finally died. When we took the pictures of the "goldfish" the water was literally frozen on the top. Poor fish
e lFor those in the know of "Flat Stanley" well he came to China for a visit. The idea is that we show Flat Stanley around town, take lots of pictures and send him back to our granddaughter's kindergarten class and they learn about other places. Here are some of the sights, we had a good time with Flat Stanley and later with Flat "Lenny the Leprechaun" from a nephew's son.
