Today is my sweet baby Kyle's 6th birthday. He was born on my dad's 50th birthday & I drank caster oil twice so that I would have him that day. Today we ate breakfast at Village Inn which is sort of a tradition we have every other year. Because their birthday is on New Years Eve we always do a big birthday/New Years party. It has always been lots of fun. I just took this cute picture of Kyle a couple weeks ago. Isn't he handsome. The other 3 are from the last 3 years on their birthday.

Tree #1




This is the tree Bryon & I bought the year we got married. That would make this our 10th year with this tree. Yes, it is tilted. Yes, we had to put it on food storage boxes & it is still about a foot & a half below the ceiling. Yes, we have to put every single branch on separately. & No it is not prelit. BUT luckily it has ALL brand new ornaments on it to help it out a bit. Thank you Cost Co!


Tree #2





Bryon's parents got a new tree last year so they gave us their old one. I'm not quite sure how old it is, but I'm guessing it's about as old as our other tree. Yes, it is tilted, no, we didn't put it on food storage boxed (we should have), Yes it is prelit(thank goodness), & it came in 3 pieces, not a million (thank goodness). My kids were lucky enough to help decorate this tree without me redoing everything. They are so excited to have more that one tree this year.


Tree #3


I bought this tree after Christmas last year for $3. I bought it to go in my boys bedroom. They shared a room in our old house, but now they have their own. So instead of listening to them fight over whose room it is going in, I decide to put it on my new cabinet.

Hailee & I went Christmas shopping today. While we were standing in line at the food court Hailee saw the carousel. I tell her we can go for a ride after we eat. We sat right by the exit(big mistake) & every time people would get off Hailee would run into the gate & I'd have drag her out kicking & screaming. When I was finally done eating I got out my wallet & I only had $1. Which is not enough to ride. So I tell her we can't ride & of course she starts kicking & screaming again. I start to walk away & the lady running the carousel tells me I can take Hailee. Thank you lady. I'm not suppose to tell anyone though so shhhhhh! Hailee loved it & when the ride was over Hailee started crying again. Luckily I was meeting my sister & that was good enough for Hailee.

My parents ward had their fall festival tonight. My kids had a blast. Their were bounce houses & slides, horses, chickens, panning for gold, roping, snow cones, cotton candy, & lots of other fun stuff.

She wanted flowers on her toes.
