Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)...What?

About a year ago I started having really bad pains (comparable to child birth) in my stomach. I lay on the floor and try not to move because it hurts so bad (and the cold tile would help too). It causes nausea, vomiting & other gross stuff. I went to the Dr. and he sent me to get an upper GI (x-rays of my stomach sort of). They determined that I had acid reflux, but they didn't see any ulcers. The Dr. gave me a Rx. Now about 6 month later my flare ups are getting worse & I have had other symptoms that are even grosser. So I called my Dr. and he referred me to a G.I. specialist. So... this Thursday I am to going to get an endoscopy. Basically the Dr. is going to stick a tube with a camera down my throat to look at my stomach and esophagus. He will be looking for any small lesions like ulcers. While they are in there they can do biopsies & treat certain things within reach. Hopefully they can take care of whatever is going on inside my stomach so the pain will go away. Wish me luck!

Trevor's first basketball game!!

I decided that basketball is the most fun sport to watch little kids play. We have done soccer ( the field is way too long for these little guys), & t-ball (a little slow to watch). Basketball is fast pace. They play on a short court so they don't have to run as far & you can see the entire game. Every kid is guaranteed to play at least half the game, so all the parents are happy. Trevor is #5

Chuck E, Cheese

We met a bunch of friends at Chuck E. Cheese's today. It was a lot of fun seeing some of my HS friends that I don't get to see very much. The kids had alot of fun playing. Hailee even tried some rides. She learned how to go down the slide by herself, feet first, on her belly. She was so proud of herself.

Maci & Bryce's last day;(

We were so sad to see Maci and Bryce leave today. We have had so much fun with them. Maci was crying so hard she ran outside and wouldn't come back in to say goodbye because she said it would be too sad, so we all stood on the front porch and waved bye as they drove away. We can't wait for them to come back this summer when my brother Nathan leaves on his mission.

New Years Eve

Happy Birthday
