Fall is in the air

Fall is in the air and it is now bearable to play at the park in the afternoon. The boys found this tree and were up in it the whole time...who needs park equipment when you have a tree to climb, right?

Peek-a-boo livi lou!

The only time at the park where they were going in the same direction!! This is a hard age to take the twins to the park. I'm hoping by next summer they will be pros at the park. They are acting SO big lately, wanting to do everything their older brothers are doing.

Sun Diago

A few weeks ago we went to San Diego with all of Steph's family. We had a blast... although the time flew super fast. The house we stayed at was amazing. It had a swimming pool with a slide and a sports court and its own movie theater room.

On the drive there, we stopped in Tucson at Stacey and Jon's new home. It was a good way to break up the trip.
We swam a ton. The boys got super sun burnt on Tuesday. They wore rash guards so their bodies were fine but their poor faces...

On Wednesday Steph took the boys to Lego Land. I stayed home with the babies and took naps and watched movies. It was a good trade off.

On Thursday I went boogie boarding. I found out about five minutes after I got into the water that there was a great white shark attack at that same beach 2 years ago... that was comforting. We played kickball that afternoon.

On Friday we went to the beach with all the kids. It was fun. The babies loved playing in the sand and the boys spent their time catching baby shrimp and building sand castles.

We drove home straight through on Saturday. The babies did surprisingly well. Ben and Bo played iPad and iPhones the whole drive.

I tried to focus on taking pics of cousins and other people instead of my own kids on this trip. and I kind of forgot to take pics of my kids. but here are some of the random photos.

Logan for the 4th

Me and the boys (Ben and Bo) went to Logan for a week during the 4th. We had such a fun time. We got there on Saturday night and went to a car show on Main street in Logan. There were some pretty cool rides. we did a huge slip 'n slide down a hill next to Lisa's house. The kids loved it... so did the adults. Fire works were pretty awesome thanks to the firework stands in NM (lotsa artillery shells, you know the big ones that blow up in the air).
We also went camping and I took the boys on motorcycle rides. Next time, we will probably cut the overnight part (very little sleep for the adults, I forgot my Unisom).
On our way back to NM we stopped at Chuck E Cheese. Here are some pics of the great adventure.

Preschool Graduation

I am seriously the BIGGEST BABY. I walked into Ben's preschool graduation just in time for it to start. Most of the parents were already sitting down. As I walked in I could see Ben looking around a little in a panic wondering where I was. The second he saw me, his face lit up and gave me the biggest smile and wave.....and I cried. It is crazy that he will start Kindergarten in the fall. In my mind once that happens it's all over...next will be high school graduation. They did a little presentation of nursery rhymes with hand motions and all....it was darling, I cried again.Ben is such a sweet, tender hearted boy! I know he's ready for kindergarten and will love it...just not sure I'm ready. Two of his latest tricks he can ride his bike and hang upside down with no hands!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABIES!!

Isn't it crazy that in the same week I have the thoughts...can this day be any longer, and "how did this year go by so fast? It has been quite the year having doubled the number of children we have. There are a few things that have consequentially doubled....the number of diapers changed, the amount of laundry done (although I think this one quadrupled), the messes I've cleaned up, the number of laughs I've had, the smiles I've seen, number of cries I've heard, and the amount of joy I have felt.
It has been such a fun, crazy, wonderful, and tiring year. And like all other years, you get through it day by day. Some days have been easier than others but looking back it's the good days that are most prominent in my memory. Here are a few things I want to remember about Sam and Olivia at age 1.

SAM:
It took Sam a long time to start moving he was about 7 months when he finally rolled over both ways. But since that point he hasn't stopped. He started walking a month ago and now he's all over the place. He wants to keep up with his brothers. Sam is a total boy he already loves wrestling around with Ben and Bo. Some of the things he loves: to play peek-a-boo, his blankie, his sissy (even though he likes to wrestle her too), books (likes eating them too), watermelon, cheese, actually most food he loves:) He is such a happy baby if I could think of one word to describe him it is JOLLY! Yesterday he attacked his birthday cake there was nothing left on the table when he was done. He ate it, squished it in his hands and threw it on the ground. We tried to upload the video here but the file was too big...any suggestions?
OLIVIA:
Olivia started out the small dainty little girl and she has remained that way. She eats as much or more than her brother yet she has always been about 5 lbs behind him. I thought for sure she would be my first walker because she was the one to roll over first and crawl first but she is content doing what she's doing. Olivia is a girly girl...she squeals when Sam starts bothering her and doesn't like to be too messy. Some things Olivia loves: her fingers (she sucks on her ring and middle fingers), to dance (music comes on and she starts bouncing), yogurt, cheese, and her brothers. She is such a content little girl. One word to describe her is SWEET. With her birthday cake yesterday she took a handful of cake looked disgusted at her dirty hands and then just put her face in the cake to eat it.

Livi-Lu and Sammer Too!

Just thought I would put up some pics of Lulu and Sam. They turn ONE in just a few weeks. I can't believe its been a year.

Easters (In the Nacho Libre voice)

Ok. so short post, but I have gotten some good pics lately and wanted to share. One is of Lulu smiling (a cute smile) and Bo smiling (a cute smile too. We don't get those very often). Anyways, Easter was good. the boys got lots of candy and Tron.

Here is a pic of Lulu in her Easter Best too.

Oh and look who started walking... Wants to be like his big brothers... Enjoy
