Our new family of four ready to head home from the hospital.

Proud big brother Jackson! He is so cute with Cannon and loves him so much already.

Such a precious little one.

Baby Cannon is here!!!

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

At 12:55pm on November 4th, Cassie gave birth to our second little boy, Cannon Jon Gardner! He weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 18 3/4 inches long! We're very excited to have him with us and Jackson is excited that his baby brother is finally here.

Here are some pictures!

Happy 7 Years!

Monday, June 29, 2009

You know you've been married a long time when you have NO digital photos from your wedding day! (Digital cameras were not as abundant in those days as they are now believe it or not!)

Last week Jordan and I celebrated our 7th anniversary! I can't believe it's been seven years already! Since our actual anniversary was on Sunday, we celebrated the whole weekend! Saturday Jordan surprised me with a day out on the lake with some friends. He knows how much I love boating and wish that we had a boat so it was the perfect and most thoughtful gift. We had so much fun and I think I may have planted a seed with Jordan. It might take me another 7 years of marriage before we become boat owners (or even more!) but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe one day it will happen!

Trip to Utah

A few weeks ago we returned from a wonderful "Surprise" trip to Utah. Not a surprise for me, but for my parents. We didn't tell them that we were coming and it was so much fun to see the look on their faces when we showed up . Derek and Lynsie picked us up from the airport and right as we were turning onto my parents street, they were leaving in the opposite direction! We flagged them down, and had to yell "Surprise!" through the car windows and across the street! Although it wasn't quite how I imagined it going, it was still priceless to see their very surprised faces!
While we were there my mom took some cute pictures of me and Jackson to give Jordan for Father's day.
This was one of Jackson's favorite things to do while at Meggie's house, ride his "bike" and have Derek follow him! Thanks for being such a good uncle, Derek!
During the few good weather days we had while in Utah (and there weren't many of them) Jackson did swimming lessons with Lynsie. He absolutely loved the time in the pool with her one on one and asked every day when he could go to his swimming lessons.

We were able to fit in a few fun visits with the Moffat cousins but unfortunately didn't take any pictures. I guess we were having too much fun to think about documenting it.

We also made a quick trip to visit Macie on one of the rainiest days we were there. It completely down poured the entire one hour drive down but as soon as we got there it cleared. Amazing.

Big Brother

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

Yup, that's right...Jackson is going to be a BIG brother! We are so excited to be adding another little one to our family come November. Jackson can't wait for the new baby to get here! He talks about the baby but we aren't sure he quite understands what it all means yet. He just knows that we are excited and he loves to say that he's going to be a big brother. So cute!
Jackson got a new lawn mower the other day and he couldn't wait to get out there and help Daddy mow the lawn.

The Leinbach's Visit

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

We spent a day at Sea World! I was a little nervous about taking Jackson for the first time but he did great and he absolutely loved it. He wasn't quite sure what to think of Shamu (see pic below) but he was in awe of the real whales and dolphins. Although it was a very HOT day for it only being May, we enjoyed the small crowds and took advantage of no lines for the rides. I think we rode most of the rides twice!
Derek brought his RC truck along with him so he could take it to the NControl race track. Jackson loves watching the RC cars. Derek did great in his very first race!
On Saturday we participated in the March of Dimes, March for Babies 5K walk again this year. It was great to have family here that could walk with us to remember our sweet Macie and to raise money to help other families affected by prematurity. Thanks Meggie and Derek for walking with us and to our family and friends who donated. We really appreciate it!

Nana and Papa Gardner Visit

On Friday night we hit Mighty Fine Burger's (a new favorite of Nana's) and a Round Rock Express baseball game.  What a fun night!
Saturday was spent doing another project....canning FOOD STORAGE! Thanks to Nana and Papa we added lots of good stuff to our small (but growing) supply of food. We had a wonderful weekend and can't wait for the next visit!

Easter Festivites

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

We had a great Easter weekend filled with lots of fun, and lots of candy!

On Saturday we attended an egg hunt at a ward members' home. They have a big red barn where we "hunted" for the eggs. Jackson wasn't old enough last year to be able to participate in an egg hunt so he was really excited this year (see the bottom middle pic). He loved running around picking up all the eggs. It wasn't until after it was over that he discovered they were filled with yummy treats, even better!

We had fun dying our own real eggs for about 5 minutes. Jackson wanted to stick his whole hand in the dye so Jordan and I ended up finishing them. Good thing we only did a few.

On Sunday we got together with a few other families to have a traditional Easter dinner. It was very yummy and so much fun to celebrate with friends. They had another little egg hunt for the kiddos. This time Jackson knew exactly what to do.

Our best attempt at getting a good picture of Jackson in his new Easter clothes. We had to wake him up from his nap to make it to church ontime, so he wasn't in any mood to pose for a picture.

Catching Up

Tuesday, April 07, 2009

So, I've decided that I'm not very good at keeping up with blogging but I figure that it's better late than not at all. Here's a short recap of what happened this last month.

While Jordan was in Las Vegas for a work conference Jackson and I headed to Utah to spend some time with my family. The first week we were there we spent it in St. George with all of my siblings. It was so much fun to just hang out and see some of the beautiful sights. We went hiking a couple of times and Jackson loved it as long as he was with one of his uncles. (Sorry, Meggie and Lynsie....he likes them uncles!)

When we got up to my parents house we enjoyed just hanging out and planning a little birthday party for Jackson. We had a cowboy themed party and it was a hit! Here is our little Cowboy with his Moffat cousins.

I had a fun time decorating for the party and making the cupcakes. It was a great party, we were just sad that Daddy had to miss out.

A few weeks ago we went on a little outing to Sweet Berry Farms. We hand picked our strawberries and even got to see some animals at the little petting zoo. Jackson loved it!

Here is Jackson with his favorite birthday present...his "backetball" hoop. He's been talking non-stop about it since he got it. It's so cute and he absolutely loves it. (The bottom right picture is him showing the camera how old he is.)

The very happy birthday boy!

What I look like lately...

Since getting my new camera, this is what Jackson sees most days. I'm sure he is so sick of it, but I am loving every minute of it! He's a good sport most of the time and I end up with a few good pictures here and there. I still have so much to learn!

My cute almost two year old! AHHH!

Jackson has learned how to say "ice cream" very well. Tonight he wouldn't stop until I finally gave in. I'm pretty sure he enjoyed every second of it.

The best $6 I've spent in a while. This is the BEST bubble wand I've seen. It blows a ton of bubbles with such little effort and provides endless entertainment!

"It's all right...have a good time!"

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Last night Symantec sponsored a Dell event concert with Huey Lewis and the News! For those of you who don't think you know who they are, you probably do. They were a big band in the 80's and have had numerous recognizable hits. Just to name a few...The Heart of Rock N' Roll, Power of Love, Hip to be Square, It's All Right, and Back in Time. I was lucky enough to get to tag along with Jordan and his co-workers for the night and even snuck backstage before the concert to get a picture with Huey.

We were right up in front during the concert. It was so much fun to be so close and to get some good pictures. We had a great time!

Thanks for the fun, Symantec!

It's about time!

Friday, January 30, 2009

It's been a while since we've posted and due to some pressure from some fellow bloggers I have decided that it's about time I get caught up. Here's what we've been up to the past month or so....
We spent a week and a half in Utah with my family for Christmas. It was great to be with everyone again and enjoy a very white Christmas! We got our fill of snow for the year!

My family (Derek, Jordan, Cassie,Lynsie, Jackson, Dad, Mom and Bryant)

Christmas Eve morning we drove down to Draper for Breakfast with Santa with Jordan's family.

Later that night we got together with some of my cousins for a surprise bus ride to see some Christmas lights. We nicknamed our "short bus" the Christmas Express. We had a great time singing Christmas songs and making fun of ourselves for riding in the short bus decked out with Christmas lights and all!

Jordan and I got a DSLR camera for Christmas this year (mostly a gift for me) and I've been having so much fun trying it out. There is so much to learn with a new camera. I feel like I'm learning a whole new language! Thanks to a good friend, I've been able to figure out some of the basics and I'm excited to learn more. Here are a few of my favorites of Jackson with the new camera.

We celebrated Macie's 4th birthday on January 7th with our traditional cake and ice cream. I can't believe that it's been four years. We sure love and miss her!

I surprised Jordan with a new RC car for Christmas this year and it's been a lot of fun and a whole lot of work! EVERY time he takes it out he comes back with something broken. Jackson LOVES daddy's "car car" and always has to be right in on all of the action. I think it's so cute that he wants to help him fix it.
