For labor day Scott and I made our way to the colonade park again. Within less than 5 minutes Scott tipped over off a log and messed up his knee. He says he thinks he felt his knee cap shift. Yuck. So we didn't do a lot of biking

But we played on this pump track after he hurt his knee.

I even took a whack at it.

Scott makes it look SO easy.

These are vines that are hit by all the dust daily from all the biking. :)

I made these skirts this week for my friends daughter. They turned out super cute and I'm excited to start selling them sometime in the future. I think I'll try making one for me even.

Here's my hubby's knee. Poor guy looks like a real old man these days, hobbling around. It's gotten better but is still tender. This picture was taken the next day.

It's been awhile since you've gotten an updated on our favorite lizard
We've been feeding him blackberries these days.

And we have reason to believe that he likes them.

This is his knee four days after the injury.

He's been feeling the love lately :) Daddy lets him sit on his computer desk while he "checks the internet" (as Scott calls it)

Isn't he adorable? :)

Yesterday we went hunting blackberries on our road and "driveway"
Our first batch were found right outside of our house! (the above pictures)
Then we found a bunch of patches of blackberries in an abandoned lot at the end of our "driveway" road. We had brought out our little ladder for the tall bushes but I ended up using it more to push the vines down to protect myself from the prickles.

The lot was very big. We kept deciding to stop and then would come upon more loaded bushes.

There were slugs everywhere

how many slugs do you see in this picture?

It was so fun picking berries with Scott. Berry picking reminds him of his home. It's fun for me to experience something that reminds him of his childhood.

The lot was overgrown to the max :)

We got burrs stuck all over us from the overgrown lot. :) It reminded me of my childhood, working with my grandpa, dad, and brothers at the Tree Farm. I would always get burrs in my shoes and would have to stop to remove them, it drove the boys nuts! No wonder they hated when I came to "work" with them.
I was able to make a bunch of jam from our collection and still had around 4 cups of berries left afterward. We now have blackberry jam as well as blackberry/blueberry jam and we also have the blueberry jam I made awhile back :) Yay for Washington berry-ness of life!

This year we attended Kinghorn Family Conference in Fairview,UT. We enjoyed every minute of it and had a hard time leaving, as is always the case when family gets to be together :) I'm so lucky to have been married into such an amazing family! I love both of our families so much!
Teancum enjoyed rocking his tutu that his mommy made 'specially for him!
Juno wasn't sure about her tutu, she hasn't spent enough time with her auntie to realize that I had her best interest at heart :)

Brynlee worked this little number, isn't she just adorable?!

She loved kicking in this one too. What do you think Brooke? I tried it out on the Bryn first, now your girls are next! :D

What a cute super hero-y family!

Power to the suit, hehe, Elijah loved his little outfit too :)

We LOVED getting to meet these little ones. They were so fun to cuddle and help with. Thanks for sharing them mommies and daddies! :) We were amazed at how alike they look. There were quiet a few people that asked if they were twins :) Brynlee is actually a few weeks older. They are going to have so much fun in years to come!

Our service project this year was at the Fairview Museum of History and Art

We got to put linseed oil on all the wood parts of these wagons.

These two worked so hard watching us work, they were pretty tuckered out.

After the project we were shown some really neat old items in the museum. This was my favorite, thanks for pointing it out to me Em! It looks like a torture device, right? ...

CRAZY! I would NOT have let someone put these on my head!!

After servicing we went out to eat at Wheelers Drive-In.

Dan had called us before we left Washington and asked Scott to bring a t-shirt he has owned since he was in high school. The t-shirt was actually for this random drive in, located in Mt. Pleasant, UT

the food was SUPER :)

and my macho nachos were amazing :)

We went to Lake Canyon Recreation Area for an evening swim and some fun.

Becky got swam into by a fish and Emily had something (possibly a crawdad) crawl over her foot.

Can you tell that it was a little cold? :)

The mommies and babies and Grandma helped Larin make some tasty food in the dutch ovens.

Aren't we so cute? :)

Larin is in charge of cooking in the wilderness for the rest of his life while we're together as a family :) It was YUMMY-NESS!

It was so fun being outdoors together, we got to see some beautiful sights :)

Everyone LOVED having babies join us this year. They were adorable :D

This stuffed turtle was also adorable...to some.

Our last night we went out to eat in Manti. We also attended the Manti temple and I managed to not get a picture of it  :s

Scott kept his tradition of stuffing himself and creating a "food baby" hehe
Scott was able to bring his chess set that he made last year at school. He was really excited to play with Dad :)

Here we are after the service project.

And here's some awesome baby bibs :)

It was a great couple of days and we can't wait to see everyone again :)
