First day of school/backyard

I DID IT. I'VE DONE ALL OF MY BLOGS FOR THE WHOLE MONTH TONIGHT. It's a proud moment for me. Start reading cuz it's going to take a while to read mine. Nat and Amy no more complaining that I haven't blogged in a while. Hee, hee. Now I can go and blog stalk all of your blogs.
First day of school

My darling kids on the first day of school. Spence has even started preschool. I love my kids. Things have gone quite smooth, they ride the bus, they have great teachers and they are getting along a lot better now that their apart most of the day. Thank goodness for those amazing men and women that teach our kids.

My awesome husband started our backyard last week. I am so excited to have it done. These are just some pics of the progress we've been making back there. I'm going to pick out trees tomorrow so wish me luck.

Fire Fighters weekend at the cabin

A couple of weeks ago we went up to the cabin with some of the fire fighters that Dan works with. It was a great weekend. Most the families came just for the day on Saturday for a long four wheeler ride and BBQ. We had some that stayed the whole weekend too. On Saturday the guys went on ride with the kids while us women held down the fort at the cabin. It was so much fun spending time with all of the fun families that came. Amy and Neal stayed until Monday with us. Amy and I were a little busy reading Breaking Dawn at nighttime so the guys watched movies while we hid away with our books. Neal snuck in and took that attractive picture of us on the bed with our books. Good times. By the way I absolutely loved the book. I know theres been mixed reviews but I loved it. It had the shock factor and it finished every ones story, good stuff. Sorry, that was just a little side note for ya. Anyway, back to the cabin, the kids wore their selves out everyday between, rides, fishing and just plain getting filthy in the dirt. The weather was amazing, the company was awesome and the food was yummy.

VEYO POOL

Amy and I ventured out and went up to the Veyo Pool with some friends. The kids loved it. Josh didn't step a foot in the pool but had a blast catching crawdads in the river. He rigged up a pole with string and tied a hot dog at the end to catch them and it worked. The crawdads would swim right up to the hot dog. The rest of the kids went back and forth from the pool to the river, good times. I forgot how fun that pool was.

JULY 24TH

I know that this is about a month old now but I'm starting at the 24th of July and updating on all of the posts I should have been doing. I've been a big time slacker at blogging it's been crazy around here..between getting ready for school to start and reading Breaking Dawn I just haven't gotten around to it. So my plan is to publish this last months posts tonight then I can go back to blog stalking without feeling guilty about my blog.
Josh and Savannah had a sleep over at John and Marlene's house the night before the
24th so that they could be in Diamond Valley for the fun breakfast and parade. They were so excited about riding horses in the parade with their cousins. Savannah and Melanie got bucked off the horse just before the parade started so they ended up walking but they still had fun. When we went to pick them up that afternoon they were not about to come home without riding horses 'just one more time'. Spencer was pretty excited about going up and riding horses too. Now my kids think we need to get a horse in our backyard, yeah right, ha, ha. That night we had a big BBQ at our house with family and friends. It was alot of fun. The big hit for the night was Sing Star. We played it for hours, it was great. All the pride goes out the window when you start singing on that baby.

Pam and Mitch gettin down with sing star.

Savannah's birthday

Savannah is my big 6 year old now!!! We had a fun as heck party for Savannah at Jumpin Jacks, now let me just tell ya... that is the way to have a party. We had 12 cute girls come and of coarse Josh and Spence joined in on the fun too. The kids ran around wild, sliding and jumping. While I was sittin' there watching on the side lines sippin' on my diet coke. They loved it and I loved it. We cut Savannah's hair off on her birthday, she looked absolutely darling. Dan had to work so we went and had cake with him and the guys at the station. Happy birthday to my sweet Savannah, I love you.
