Local Stamp Club Challenge

One of my local stamp clubs has an ongoing swap where we all make a card using the same stamp(s). It was my turn to create a project from a Stamp'n Up Set Haute Couture. This is what I created, adding a hat as my embellishment.

Lotus Blossom for a Friend

All things oriental catch my eye and I also am very fond of flowers. I made this card for a friend.

Even the birds want spring

Using more shrink plastic, I stamped the new bird image from Inka Stamps colored it slightly with markers and cut before shrinking. I call this card "journey to spring" as the birds are starting to migrate back and we all definitely want warmer weather.

SWIRLS

Swirls are the "in thing" this season and I just had to play with the new images from Inka. I stamped the image on some shrink plastic and had a great time figuring out what to do with the squares. Jim supports me which is wonderful and he also has a great sense of humor and wanted to know why I put "springs" on my card. He said this card reminded him of some of his dreams. I hope he didn't mean nightmares.

(Card inspired from art viewed in the CRAFT STAMPER March issue.)

One more egg shaped ATC

This is my final egg-shaped ATC for the workshop I'm participating in. I used an image from Inka's Easter ephemera collection along with her new tiny easter egg image and background stamps.

Oriental themed card with handmade beads

I am particularly fond of the new image (sequin waste) that Inka has added to her line of images. It is a very versatile image and can be used for collage, formal cards or fun projects. I used it as a background on this card. The beautiful Japanese image is from one of Inka's ephemera collage sheets.

In one of the groups I belong to, the members have been making beads using fabric, feathers and other products. I had a piece of colorful mylar type paper and rolled it into a bead, wrapped it in fine gold thread, added clear EP and voila...two beads.

Odd Shaped ATCs for Workshop

We were required to make an egg shaped ATC and an ATC with an arch. The "bunny" card was a snap because I used a bunny bunch and merely added a charm at the bottom. However, the background was a watercolor wash and that was fun to create.

The arch shaped ATC was made using some of the new images from Inka Stamps, and the geisha and ginger jar are from one of her oriental ephemera plates.
This background was also a watercolor wash.

It's official

Inka has officially added my name as a member of her Design Team. I am truly flattered because the team is comprised of some of the most talented ladies in the rubber stamping and mixed media arenas; and, you will be inspired when you see their projects and cards.

If you mention my name when you order from Inka Stamps she will give you a 30% rebate on your order to celebrate my addition to her team.

Thank you, Inka, and to the other members, your art will definitely push me to new heights.

Carolyn
