More Summer Fun 2011

Strike a pose!

Bryleigh who cried the first time we got to our temporary housing because it had only showers learned to love taking them and found out they could be just as much fun as a bath.

Lots of play-doh time!  Camryn got pretty good at making "fondant" designs out of play-doh.

Surprise!  Laundry folded by sweet Jamie with a little love note!

More beauty sleep with a unicorn horn taped to your head!

All three were selected to sing "take me out to the ball game" at the West Virginia Power game.
Dave and I were invited guests at the President's table (president of the UC and Dave was invited, I just got to come along with)... totally warranted a new outfit however!
A little more swim team action!

Jamie's first ice skating experience!  She LOVED it!

We had a FUN, and BUSY summer!  Just moving in early May and knowing no one I expected a very quiet, dull, maybe even relaxing summer.  It was nothing of the sort and I wouldn't have had it any other way!  With three girls nothing is ever quiet, relaxing, or dull!!   What was I thinking??

Summer Fun 2011

There was so SO much fun in the sun!

Bryleigh learned to swim!  She got really good at the backstroke.  The older girls participated in their first swim meet!  They both impressed the heck out of me!  Camryn placed 14th in the city for breaststroke.  Jamie swam in a relay with the 11-12 year olds, did a 50, and learned to do a flip turn!  They really enjoyed their summer season and will be swimming in the fall too!  Bryleigh will be swimming on the team as well.  She went from not wanting to put her eyes in the water to swimming on the swim team in just 2 short months.

Bryleigh graduated from PRESCHOOL!
More swimming!  We spent lots of days outside in the pool!

Bryleigh convinced the girls that pickle juice was delicious so they wanted to try it too!

 Family game nights!!!
Bryleigh ended up winning this night with 2 holes in one!  Way to go B!

We bought ANOTHER house!  Yes, you read that right!  14th move in 12 years!  We are trying to keep up with my parents apparently!

Chinese food!  It's a family favorite!  Yummy!

Girls night out while Dad's away working!
So exhausted that sleep was very necessary!!

Friends!  Friends! Friends!  We've been so lucky to meet some AWESOME friends!
A little back to school shopping trip!

Like father like daughter!

So sad that they did this to themselves all on their own!

Welcome to West Virginia!

Here's a picture of the girls sleeping in the hallway of our very special friend's house
the night before the big move!
12 plus hours is a LONG car ride!  Bryleigh was the ONLY one to fall asleep though!

This is the beautiful view that I ran past on my first morning run in Charleston, West Virginia!
Yep, I said outside!  I am running outside because my treadmill is in storage while we are in our temporary housing.
This is the view of our first attempt at yummy Mexican Cuisine.  It did not disappoint!  So far we have found another place that we like too!
First Day of School at their new Elementary School!  Go Kanawha City Elementary!
Bryleigh's First Day of 4K.  There's just a month left but she LOVES that she gets to go to big school!
As we passed the sign that said, "Welcome to West Virginia"  Camryn said in her best southern accent, "yeah, now bring on the accents!"
Dad took a few pictures of his girls on Mother's Day which was also our first day at church in our new ward.
I think they have their pose down!  Camryn's even working her face!  Watch out American's next top model here comes the Payne girls!
Here's my handsome husband on his first day of his new job!  He's now the founding program director of the PA Program at the University of Charleston.
