I'd just like to say how brave I have been throughout my pregnancy to expose my horrible-looking pictures to the world. I guess people need to see the real me for these past 9 months, but normally I wouldn't dare post pictures that I didn't like. Now, I'm doing it to show the progression of my pregnancy.

The purpose of this picture is to show how low the baby is at this point. I have 8 more days until I'm due. Still feel like he'll be early, but man I can't say for sure! Notice how low my pants are riding today and also the roll-on behind me (my hospital bag!).

This was the baby back in January. I wonder how much he's changed since then...

I'm not really sure what this means, but my doc thinks the baby is on the small side (6 lbs). So I'm having an ultrasound on Monday, I think just to see if he's small or if I'm just hiding him well. My neighbor was really small when she was pregnant but had an 8+ pounder. So we'll see what happens.

He's dropped more, but I'm not dilating any. I'm trying to psyche myself out and say that I'm really due in three weeks instead of two. That way, I won't be disappointed if he's late, and I'll be really excited if he's early!

By the way, today's a lot better than yesterday. Sometimes I just need a good cry to make myself feel better---I guess it's just that release of hormones that I need.

Chad was a little disappointed we couldn't get a 4D ultrasound again so that we could really see what he looks like. But I'm not high risk, so they won't send me to the hospital to have it done.

I'll post more after the ultrasound.

My work gave me a $50 gift certificate to this really posh salon here in town. I know...in Madison? But, it really is a cool place. I would think I was in New York or something if I didn't see some farmland out the window. Anyway, I thought I should take advantage of the cool gift and got my hair highlighted/lowlighted yesterday. When the hairdresser dried my hair, I was in shock! I didn't know amber was a reddish color (let's blame that on my pregnancy, ok?!)! So I was a little upset about it, but decided I needed to just chill and see how I could really make it me.

So, I did my hair this morning and am pretty pleased with the results. It's pretty cool with some funky chunks she added for fun. What'd you think?

This is the second picture with this shirt on (on this blog)...you can tell how it's getting a bit small on me! And my hair and makeup look oh so fabulous. But hey, it's at the end of a long day! I have about 3 1/2 weeks left! And I lost a pound since my last doc's visit (only last Thursday), so I was pretty excited after my OB apt. today!

Well, I'm wondering what our baby will look like. I've seen a 4-D of him from back in January of this year (no doubt he's changed a little since then), but I wonder if he will be a combination of me and Chad or look more like me or more like Chad. What would a combo of the two of us look like? See below....

I was looking through pictures on Chad's old computer today and found this one. I think I've (or maybe marriage has) aged Chad a bit. What do you think?

I went to the doc today...only three more apts. with my OB! I can't believe it. I actually met with the nurse practitioner since my OB was on call today. She felt the baby and said it felt like he had dropped a bit, that his head was right down on my pelvis. I pretty much knew this since I have been having pain in my pelvic area for a while now. Then she did an exam to check for strep and to see if I was progressing any. I'm not dilating at all, but I'm thinning out a little. And she looked pretty surprised cause she said, "Yeah, he's right there!" I'm not sure if she actually felt his head or not, but it was pretty exciting for me!

I've been feeling lately that I need to get my bag packed, but I haven't taken the time to do it since I still had a lot of time to go. And then I've kind of been feeling that the baby will come early, but I'm just hoping that it's not wishful thinking.

So, for some reason, I'm thinking the baby will come on April 26th. I haven't been inspired by anyone or anything in particular to make me think this (other than the countless number of people that seem to think the baby is due weeks before he really is).

I also understand that this is over a week before his due date (May 5th), but it's just something in my head. So, please submit your best guess.
