Ned gave us a scare 24 hours after he was born so the first week was spent in the Hospital. On Friday, July 18th Ned was admitted to the NICU with Pneumothorax - collapsed lungs. It was very emotional and scary. I am so thankful for Dr. Pole, all the awesome nurses, and our family and friends. You never want your child to be in a situation like this but if you are the NMMC NICU is the best possible place to be.
He was treated with 100% Oxygen Hood. He was fortunate that his lungs healed with the Oxygen Hood. After normal scans we worked on feedings and moved to step down. I was released from the hospital on Sunday, July 20th without Ned. It was so hard to leave. He was released on Wednesday, July 23rd.

We came home and got settled while Collins was at school. After school he washed hands and changed clothes and was ready to see the "Baby" we had been talking about for so long.
