Mason's first day at Preschool!

Mason started 3 year old preschool this year :( He loves it, and is in Ms. Windy's class like Chase was. Chase, Karson and Tucker were seperated the second day, but so far, Mason has two full weeks in and hasn't been seperated from Isaac yet. Go Mason!

Chase had a Spider-man backpack for preschool, and Mason picked Star Wars for his first year. I cannot believe that he is so big. Where did the time go?

Here are Mason and Ethan passed out in the car after their first big day of preschool.

Baseball

All of my sisters were here this weekend and we had a lot of fun. Last night we all went to Steven and David's concert at the coffee house. Tina has a picture of all 4 of us girls and of Steven and David playing, but I will have to post those later. Today after church, we all (except for Kathy who had to go home) went to Kurt, Joey and Steven's baseball game. It was a beautiful day for a baseball game, and to top it off, our team WON! It was a great weekend, I love it when all of my sisters are here together!

So, this is funny if you know Harvey at all, but he asked me if I had a hat for him to wear in my van to shade him from the sun. This is all I had, Christian's redneck hat. I didn't think he would wear it, but he did and I had to take a picture. He didn't have to wear it long, because we were sitting in the shade, but it was fun while it lasted!! In case you can't read it, it says Redneck... it's a lifestyle. :)

This is Kathy and Joey at last week's game.

Here are me and mom at today's game. I told her she won't even want a copy of this picture since she hates my hair, but she said she loves me so she still wants one :) My sweet mom!

Chelsea and I were posing for a picture since we look alike now, and Joey ran up at the last second and jumped into the picture right as it snapped, great timing Joey.

This is also from last week's game. Joey bought Chase and Mason these Royals shirts and had their names put on the back for them. They LOVE them and I was excited to get a picture with them in their Royals uniforms with Steven, Kurt and Joey. Thanks Joey, you are an awesome big cousin!

Here is the picture of me with all of my sisters. Thanks for emailing it to me, Tina!

No pictures.....

There are so many precious moments that I get with just me and the boys and of course there is no one here to photograph it!!. I already look back and see pictures of stuff we did 3 years ago and can barely remember it. I know I will really forget some of the times that we have when there are no pictures to look back and remember with. Tonight, as we were going through our new scheduled night time kindergarten-in-the-morning ritual, I realized how fast my time at home with Chase went and how fast the rest of this is going to go too so I thought I would start "journaling" some of the things we do even if there are no pictures to go along with it, just for memories sake. We have never gone to bed early, for the past 5 years, we have gone and done full force from morning until 10:00 or 11:00 at night (and later). So, this regular supper time, bath time, story time, and bed time is a new thing for us. And though the other was fun for then, this is pretty cool too for this time in our life. We had supper early, and were done with bath by 7:15 so we got our 'jommas' on went for a before dark four wheeler ride. Mason rode with me and Chase drove his. It was a gorgeous night and it felt so good, we all 3 got our sunglasses on to keep the bugs from going in our eyes and rode all over the farm for 30 minutes. It was so fun... Mason fell asleep as I figured he would so when we got back to the house, I put him to bed and Chase and I rode bikes in the driveway and yard until time to go in and go to bed. We raced down the little hill in our driveway and he bet me that I couldn't make a circle at the bottom without putting on my brake, and he was right, I couldn't. He could and he thought that was really cool. It was just such a fun night with them. Then we came in and read Green Eggs and Ham, and A Silly Snowy Day (very appropriate for an August night) in the recliner and I tucked him into bed. I am not used to this structured way of life yet, and I have always loved that we were fun and flexible and didn't have a structured schedule to our lives, but I am doing my best and know that with this new phase of school life, it is needed and beneficial and I think we are going to make it just fine, and still have lots of fun... just structured-y kind of fun!

I love my life!

Kindergarten

So, today was the day... Chase's very first day of elementary school! This morning when we were getting ready, he said "Mom, I'm kind of nervous about this." I told him it was okay to be nervous and that I was a little nervous about it too, but he was also excited and he didn't act the least bit nervous once we got there. Here are a few pictures I took of him in the morning, and mom took a few of Chase and me this afternoon when we picked him up. I asked him what his favorite part of the entire day was and he told me that he had two favorite things that were tied. "Playing on the playground and lunch." What a boy :)

I know he's mine, but is this a cute school boy or what!!!!!

Last Day :(

Today was my last day as a stay-at-home mom with Chase as a stay-at-home kid. I can not believe how fast it went. I am excited for him to get to go to school and learn to read and do all of the fun stuff that kids get to do at school, but it breaks my heart that my time with him at home just to myself is gone. Here he is in his pajamas getting ready to go to bed early (which he has never done before in his life) before his first day of big boy school.

Fun ride

Tonight Melissa, Dustin, and the boys came over for supper. I had mentioned earlier to Amy that if she wanted to ride bikes, I would go with her, so when she decided to go, I just asked Melissa if she would want to go for a quick ride while the guys watched the boys (and when I say guys, I mean Dustin... I don't think Erick did much watchin'). Anyways, we had fun and ended up riding 8 miles... not too bad for a quick ride, and for Melissa's first. I just thought I would post this fun picture of Amy and Melissa getting ready to ride :)
