Another Week Has Passed!

Where did another week go? In four days it will be April 1st and that is just crazy! We had another good week for the most part! We went to a movie on Tuesday, we have gone on a couple of rides this week, did some shopping, attended our ward Easter dinner tonight and I feel behind as ever in projects to do. I am behind in my emails, journaling, and other things that I really want to get accomplished. I am just grateful for each day with my hubby and I have definitely come to realize that my projects have to come second to spending time with my eternal boyfriend and family. That is what matters most right now. Families can be together forever and time is so precious. The older we get, we really get it about life being fragile. So many things are starting to hit closer to home now and therefore, we are going to live life to the fullest while we can. It sure has been nice to be enjoy some beautiful summer weather, but with the price of gas, it is slowing us down a bit. I know we are still luckier than a lot of people, but I sure pray that this prices can start going down. Life is still good!!! 😀

Another gorgeous sunset here in southern Utah!

This is the Stand Your Ground Monument, which represents "the courage and resolve of early American patriots who risked everything to secure liberty."

This is the drawing of this historical park and is going to be so awesome.

A list of the structures to be built in the village.

We stopped by the alpaca farm to take a couple of pictures.

Not sure what this guy was with the awesome horns! Guess he liked hanging out with the sheep! 🐑

Getting ready for summer with a new flower arrangement on the deck.

Denny and our friend, Deloy who lives two spaces down from us. Denny and Deloy have become good friends and were anxiously waiting for the ham and potato dinner to begin. The cultural hall was packed and more tables had to be set up! Nice dinner for everyone followed by an easter egg hunt for the kiddos.

HAPPY SPRING!!!

Can it really be spring already? Since we are going to hit 96 degrees today, I guess I had better believe that spring has sprung!! It has been so nice around here and we have already been enjoying lots of beautiful weather. I guess we already had our spring and now we are headstrong into summer weather!! I love it!! 🌞🌷🌹🌼

Last night, Denny and I went to DQ for a free ice cream cone and then drove over to the temple and enjoyed our yummy treat. We had to pay a dollar to have them dipped, but why not?! 😀🍦

I had cherry dip and Den had mint! 😀

Six Week Post Op

Today, Thursday, March 19th, we had an appt. with Dr. Parry for Den's six week check-up! Dr. Parry is so pleased with how he is doing and said that Denny could stop going to therapy if he wants to because he is doing so well.  He just needs to walk each day and work on some knee lunges to strengthen the bending of his knee. Den has a good range of motion in both knees and has done really well. So thankful for this!! It's been a LONG three months and we have definitely gotten through the worst of it and now it is just continual work to strengthen the knees up even more!!  Many prayers of thankfulness for sure!! 🙏😊💕

Den's last appt for now. He is scheduled for a follow-up in a year, but where will we be on February 7th, 2027?  Who knows? 😉

We sure love Dr. Parry!!

Catch Up Time- (Again!)

On Monday, March 16th, we went and checked out the new Costco store and we definitely scored a nice free treat. We love these protein bars! So yummy and full of protein which is what we are trying to get more of! 👍

Happy St. Patrick's Day socks for me! I love finding socks for the holidays!

This year we decided to cook a brisket for the first time ever. It was super easy in a crockpot, but we are not sure that we would do another one. Not a real fan of the salty meat. I love me some cooked cabbage and veggies though!! We also had a yummy salad and I tried some new cake cookies- pistachio! 😋

We Can't Stay Inside!

Wednesday, March 11th, was a beautiful day in southern Utah! We decided to go for a ride after lunch. We needed to get gas (absolutely dreaded thing to do now with the prices), and then we drove up to Gunlock so that we could see the falls. Usually, about once every 10 years or so, the run off from Gunlock Reservoir flows over the rocks and some beautiful falls attract dozens of visitors and when it is warm enough they are used for cooling off. This is the third time that we have seen them since we have been back this time, but we didn't see too much water this time. We drove up further by the reservoir and spent a couple of hours enjoying the sun and beauty of the area. We made a new little friend, the cutest little chipmunk and sure had fun with him. We didn't have anything to offer him but some life savers and surprisingly he took them and stashed them away. The little guy would take the lifesaver in his little hands, lick on the candy and then scamper away and hide it somewhere. We shared about 7 or 8 of them with him and he hid them in several different places. So cute! I finally told him "no more" and he tried begging for a few more minutes just sitting there and looking up at me and then finally gave up and sat on the rocks enjoying the sun also. 🌞 (We were able to buy gas at $3.21 cents a gallon and when we drove back through a couple hours later, the gas had gone up 5 cents! Yikes!)

Love these hotter pink blossoms!

Not too much water is running. The falls are on the left side of the rocks.

Gunlock Reservoir

Yes, it was a windy day!

Den loves to use the binoculars!

I forget what Denny looks like without glasses! 😲

"No more buddy!"

Last Monday, we went to the first of the summer concert series in the park and enjoyed a really good country group called The Marshall Band! Only 3 members, but very talented and I love to hear a steel guitar! Now that's country music! Looking forward to several more! 🎶🎝🎜
