It is sure fun having Derek back home with us for a couple of weeks. He has been home since Friday, the 3rd after visiting his sisters in Washington and will fly back to Salt Lake City on the 22nd of this month so that he can attend his good friend Luke's wedding in the Salt Lake Temple. He is pretty excited about it and is also in the wedding party!! Will post some pix when I get them. We have had fun visiting, shopping, fixing up the back deck, enjoying a new grill and I know that Derek has enjoyed just relaxing. He won't be so relaxed next week though in the dentist chair getting some work done!! :( Just glad we can get things done while he is here!! This time is going fast and before he knows it he will be back in school and that's okay because he is getting it done and school is what his life is about right now. Study and work, work and study, but he manages to find the time to still have fun!! We have lots of things planned to do and hopefully will get it all in before we have to take him to Portland to fly out!! Welcome home Derek!!
We were lucky enough to have a family reunion in Lincoln City on July 22-July 25!! We sure had a wonderful time and are so grateful to our family members who could be with us. We missed those who were not there and hope to have everyone at next year's reunion which we want to have at Wallowa Lake in eastern Oregon. We love that place and it will be close enough to be able to have my Dad and other family members in attendance. We will start planning it right away!! We did have a good time at the coast and made the most of each day with lots of activities, eating, sight seeing, playing on the beach, enjoying the hot tub, laughing and just enjoying each other's company. Denny and I also celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary while we were there and we were surprised with an anniversary cake which was really yummy!! Thanks Desi and Nick!! It all just went too fast, but we have lots of pictures to remember our reunion with! Here are a few that I hope you enjoy!!
