One day at a time!!

Well we are getting closer and closer to our moving date! Just one week from Thursday we will be pulling out of Salem and heading to LaGrande. Our plans are still indefinite as to how long we will be in LaGrande, but it will be nice to be "home" and spend some time there. We have the rest of our lives to have fun, travel, visit with family, go on our mission and make decisions. For right now, it feels like this is what we need to do. I want to be closer to spend more time with my Dad and we can't ever get that time back again so that is what we are heading to do. We will still be able to do some traveling and figure some things out. I just never realized how tough it would be to make these decisions when Denny retired. I guess when you get our age, you want to make the right decisions because we are too tired to just keep moving around and trying to get it right!! We will take things one day at a time, but for now this is what we need to do!! Here are a few more pictures of how bare things are becoming!! 10 days to go!!!!

Well tonight after living here in Salem for six years, we finally went to a Volcanoes baseball game. The Keizer Volcanoes are a minor league team and tonight they were playing the Boise Hawks. The Volcanoes won, 11-3!! Yeah!! It was also a night with a lot of patriotic tributes and music. It was a great date night!! Wish we had gone years ago and enjoyed it all this time!! Better late than never!!

This post is for my daughter, Derrinda, to show her that we are really coming and almost ready to leave in the morning!! It has felt so good to sort through things and give away some things that family members will hopefully get some use out of!! As soon as we get home Wednesday, we will load up Devin & Amy's load and go over there on Thursday and then back home to start on some more projects. We sent off our official certified letter to our landlord to let him know what date we are out of here and it is July 13th or possibly sooner. I am really thinking that we need to do a lot of talking on our way to Washington tomorrow and make some definite plans. Kind of fun though to keep everyone guessing!! Washington here we come!!
