We have another granddoggie!

Derrinda and Che drove to Idaho and picked up their new puppy, Eddie, who happens to be a cousin to Derek's puppy, Emes. He is a mini Aussie and sure is a cute little thing. They spent two nights with Derek in Idaho Falls and Derek's two dogs sure had fun playing with Eddie.  Che and Derrinda also went to visit two of his sons who are attending BYU-Idaho. Good times!

Welcome to the family Eddie!

Saturday afternoon drive

Today, November 21st, we went on a nice ride and covered quite a bit of country. What a nice way to pay tribute to Dad and to be able to see so many deer because he really enjoyed his hunting. Sure wish he could have been here with us. Maybe he was???  😉 We saw over 100 deer including several bucks which was really cool. I love the ol' churches and I found another one today.

St. Peter's Catholic Church built in 1913 in Echo, OR. The church was used for over 80 years and the Echo Heritage Association is working to establish it as a historical icon and to completely rehabilitate and utilize it.

One nice buck that we saw!

A nice buck that Devin and Amy saw in LaGrande

Happy 90th Birthday Dad!

Today my Dad is 90 years old! Happy Birthday Dad and I sure hope that you are having a wonderful day! I miss him so much and it never seems to amaze me how much it can still hurt that he is gone. So often I think of things that I would like to call and tell him, but that just can't happen right now. When we are out on a ride I think of the excitement that he showed when we took him on rides and he could see wildlife and the mountains which he loved. The one sure thing in life was always knowing how much Dad loved each of us unconditionally and he was always the best Grandpa Bob ever!! He loved his time with his family and we knew that we were each important to him. He certainly could be the life of the party and never stopped joking about things with his sense of humor. He was loved by all and he is certainly missed by all of us that are left behind. We hope that we are making you proud and we will keep faithfully enduring to the end and we will see you again when we are reunited for all eternity! We love you Dad!!

Always such a good sport with his grandchildren!

I sure miss giving Dad his haircuts!

The last birthday present we gave him.😢

I also wanted to share on here a very nice tribute that Aunt Barb wrote to Dad:

To our dear brother Bob, who has passed on, we think of you and honor you on your birthday tomorrow, November 21.  Had you lived, you would have turned 90.  We miss you still, and it doesn't seem right that you are not around to celebrate the holidays.  You loved your family deeply and everyone has felt that from you.  You are sorely missed in those celebrations.

We remember all the wonderful things about you, the good times we had (especially in our music) and the bonds we formed from children on up.  We may be separated physically, but we are---and always will be---connected in spirit.

Thank you for all the expressions of love that you gave to Mom and Dad, giving of yourself and your skills and talents to help them----and make their lives easier and better.

As your siblings, we have great tender memories.  Your kids will have theirs, as they remember you on your birthday.  May they express them as they feel led.

Much love always to you, dear brother and friend.

Barb, June, Bud, and Jim

Damon's new apartment in LaGrande

On Tuesday we helped Damon move his things to LaGrande. We sure miss him already, but it is such a good move for him. He has rented a studio apartment downtown and is enjoying having his own place again.  Damon is doing so well being back in LaGrande with his friends and working at a job that he really likes a lot.  Damon is such a perfectionist like his Momma and he takes great pride in his work. He is working at Laurence's Autobody Shop and learning new things each day! Keep up the good work Son!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!!

Just wanted to share some pictures on here of my girl's Christmas decorations since I won't be able to see them in person. They both always do such a nice job with their Christmas decor. Good work girls!

Silly Miss Haven

I just have to put a note on here as a reminder of something that Haven said. It reminds me of Art Linkletter's show called "Kids Say The Darnest Things".  If you know me at all, then you know that one of my favorite sayings is "Oh Mylanta!"  Well, Haven and Desi were out somewhere and Haven heard a woman say "Oh Mylanta" and Haven quickly turned to her Momma and asked- "Does she know my Grandma?" I love it!!

Only this girl would wear two pairs of sunglasses!

Happy Birthday Dad Cooper!

Today, November 8th, is Dad Cooper's birthday!! He is 101 years old today. Happy Heavenly Birthday Dad Cooper!! 28 years is much too long to be without you and we love and miss you everyday!!

We also had our first snowfall here in town so I took a couple of pictures. It has sure been cold!!

A drive in the country

On Sat. November 7th, Denny and I went on a nice ride in the country just outside of Pendleton. We actually went on some roads that we have not been on before so that was perfect. We saw dozens of pheasants, lots of deer and some new sites. It is quite different now with the fields harvested and the leaves falling or have already fallen off of the trees. Our rides through the country have taken on a totally different look now and there is almost a sadness because the cold winter months are coming and our days are getting so short. It just feels like the time went so quickly through the summer, despite the pandemic. I am just so grateful that we have been able to continue to go on our rides because I know that it has helped to keep our sanity!  I do have a fascination with clouds so I definitely have some more pictures on here. Any ride that I go on with my hubby is a great ride!
