Derrinda Jo's hubby, Che, created this awesome wreath to be placed at the grave of our sweet grandson, Dallas. What a beautiful Christmas wreath for Dallas. Thank you Che for being such a loving person and for loving Derrinda and the boys so much! We love you!!
Today is my Dad's 91st birthday and I sure wish that I could celebrate this special day with him. I would either make him a chocolate cake or a chocolate cream pie because he loved both of them. My Dad just liked desserts like we all do!! 😁Sure do miss you Dad and hope that you can feel our birthday wishes and love that is being sent your way!! 💓💕💖💗💘💝

There was a nice write up about Derek's business in Idaho Falls and we are continually amazed at the coverage his business is getting. Way to go Derek!
There is just no stopping Denny with these wooden models. He completed another model which is an awesome ship. He also has another ship to do but I suggested he wait until after Thanksgiving so he will still have something to do. LOL I also finished my Christmas House and I am happy with the way it turned out, especially that the lights worked! Yeah!

Denny and I went for another one of our infamous country drives and this time we saw some nice bucks and a bunch of guinea hens.
"The , or guinea fowl, is a small and hardy bird that’s a relative of the chicken and partridge, but has darker meat than either. Guinea hen is the beginner’s game bird – but it’s not at all gamey tasting. The flavor is often compared to pheasant, or described as extra-tasty chicken."
About 50 cm (20 inches) long, the typical form has a bare face, brown eyes, red and blue wattles at the bill, black white-spotted plumage, and hunched posture. It lives in flocks and walks about on the ground, feeding on seeds, tubers, and some insects. When alarmed the birds run, but when pressed they fly on short, rounded wings for a short distance. At night they sleep in trees. Helmet guinea fowl are noisy birds giving harsh, repetitive calls. The nest is a hollow in the ground and is scantily lined with vegetation. It contains about 12 finely spotted tan-coloured eggs, which require about 30 days’ incubation. The downy young are active immediately after hatching and accompany the parents."
Denny finally completed the wooden train that Derek sent him to do. I can't believe the dozens of little pieces that he put together with this engine and coal car. We have it displayed so that he can always enjoy seeing it when he passes by and knowing that he accomplished quite the task with this wooden model. Derek has another model on the way for him to put together. 👍 Derek has decided that we need to keep even busier! 😉
Elijah had a sports banquet last night for cross country and we are so proud of him. He lettered for running on varsity, was voted "most inspirational" by his team and he also got a certificate for running at districts. Way to go Elijah! The world is at your feet!! 😀
Today is Veteran's Day and we pause and give thanks to all those who have fought for our freedoms here and around the world. My own sweetheart was in the regular army and then served for 20 years in the Oregon National Guard. I am so grateful for his willingness to serve his country. Both of my Grandfathers were in the service along with uncles and many other relatives. I am so glad that we have a day set aside to honor these great men and women and to thank them for their service.
Many businesses honor the Veterans by giving them free meals, etc. We have been able to enjoy some of these today and have a couple more yet to do later today. It is fun to celebrate this special day with my husband and it is so awesome when someone comes up to Denny and thanks him for his service. Young and old alike do this and it is wonderful to hear and see!!
