Another project almost completed!

Che, Derrinda and family have sure been working hard to get their home done. Che just completed the mantle for their shelving and it sure looks nice and cozy with the gas fireplace. Almost done! Nice work!! 👍

Mesquite, Nevada

Today, January 16th, Denny and I drove down to Mesquite to do some shopping and to enjoy some nice weather. It was just like a spring day!  We got a Subway sandwich to share, did a little grocery shopping and got a few things at the Dollar Tree. It is such a big Dollar Store and I always manage to find some things there! Good day with my hubby!!

I just had to take a picture of this motorhome that we saw in Mesquite, complete with a generator on the back. Quite interesting for sure! 😕

Saw some interesting jet streams on the way back home!

No words!

I just had to post a couple of pictures of my dear hubby! He is just so funny! 😂

Much better!

Derek's trip to Washington

On Friday, January 12th, Derek flew up to visit his sisters and their families over the weekend. It was a nice break for Derek to get away and enjoy some family time. Just wish that we all could have been together! Hopefully soon! I do have a few pictures from their fun weekend. 😀

Misc. Pictures & Quote

I made a new runner for our table.

We can sure get some beautiful sunsets!

Has It Really Been Six Years?

Six years ago today, January 12th, 2018, my dad, Robert Lee Myer passed away. 💔 It was also on a Friday just like today. I can't even begin to believe that it has been this long already. I do miss him so much and it brings comfort to my heart to know that Mom and Dad are together with their loved ones who have passed on. I would love to be able to call and tell Dad about the nice bucks that we saw in the park the other day, or that I had a road runner run across the road right in front of me when I was driving the other day. I want to ask him if he saw any roadrunners when they were down here. I want to tell him about all of the things that have changed down here and to also tell him about everything that is going on with our family. I guess I would be surprised if he and Mom weren't already aware of the things going on here on this earth. 😉We all just love and miss them so much. I just pray that we are making them all proud of us! 💖💗

Dad was born in Salem, WV on November 21, 1930.

Dad was working as a policeman in LaGrande when I was born.

Fun photo of Dad

Gas attendant days.

Such a handsome guy!

Now that is a confused look Dad!

Dad always had such a great sense of humor. I wonder how many he is teasing now. 😀

Always the thinker.

Dad's last home in Wildflower in LaGrande, OR

The spray that we chose for Dad's funeral which included a pheasant as he loved to go hunting for ducks, pheasants, deer, elk and also enjoyed fishing. He was an outdoorsman through and through!

Slow week for us.

This last week has been kind of slow without much to report. It seems like that is always what it is like right after Christmas. After all the decorations are put away, the house is back to normal, the kids are back in school, everyone is back to work and there is always a quiet and usually cold time of the year. I know that the traffic down here has definitely been a lot better. Not quite as insane as usual!  😉We have definitely been having some cold temps with even a little snow. We have managed to work in a few activities this last week and I am so grateful that Denny is mostly over his cold. On Tuesday, I had a doctor appt. and then later in the day we went to the show. Wednesday, we drove up to Zion's National Park, Thursday we did some shopping and on today we drove up to Cedar City. We had a lot of wind today and that sure makes it a lot chillier!

We ALWAYS enjoy seeing the bucks!

There's that cute eternal boyfriend of mine! 💕
