catching up - part 3

We had a super fun day at an amusement park for kids with cousins Janine & Jessica (Grandma Jean & Nana went too)

The Old Lady in the Shoe thought they were beautiful. Well, yeah! Annabelle called her Grandma. She calls everyone with gray hair grandma.

Later, out in the park, she honked Ricky Raccoon.

And before we left, we rode the Merry Go Round. Annabelle yelled "wwwweeee", it brought a tear to my eye.

Then the next weekend we drove across state to see Uncle Frank & Aunt Charlotte. Aunt Charlotte bought Annabelle a sari when she was in India.

Then we went to Aunt Charlotte's bridal shower, Annabelle helped her open gifts.

We played a game that Aunt Charlotte had to eat a gum ball for every answer she got different than Uncle Frank (think Newywed Game). She ate a lot of gum balls.

Then we came home in time to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. We still had our rental mini van so we took a big ride up to the mountains and ate at one of our favorite restraunts.

I know I have been lax in my blogging - truth is we have been so very busy the past few weeks I just had the opportunity to upload some pics. I will bring you up to date.

Annabelle was baptized.

We are so very blessed to have Chris & Lisa as Godparents.

Then we had a super fun party. Aunt Stacie did so much work to make it nice for everyone. Annabelle played & played in the yard with the other kids.

It was Father's Day - our annual picture with Daddy. What a difference a year makes!

First Party

Just posting this because I am feeling a bit nostalgic today. Thinking about getting Annabelle dressed up this weekend for her baptism and again the following weekend for a bridal shower. This was her first party dress. She was 1 month old and we went to a surprise party for one of Tom’s co-workers.

Swimming fun

With the weather in the mid 90's this weekend Annabelle got her first taste of the swimming pool.

Not so sure she really likes it, not quite as warm as the tub.

But then once she figured out it was fun to dump the water with the cup things were better.

Even more fun to dump over her head.

Even more fun to dump on Mum.

Then she danced & sang a little.

And then she splashed and splashed and splashed.

Finally, Annabelle recreated the famous Lucy & Ethel stomping grapes scene.

We had lots of fun.

1st parade

Annabelle attended her first parade on Memorial Day. I was so hoping she would love the parade and not be afraid, and she did! This picture was taken during a lull in the action so she looks a bit bored by the whole thing. Assure as the bands, veterans and fire trucks were passing by Annabelle was waving, clapping and offering them her milk.

In attendance were Dad, Mum, Nana & (honorary) Grandma Joyce. After the parade we had a lovely cookout lunch on Joyce's refreshingly breezy covered porch. A wonderful time was had by all.
