Biggin
Here is my big ol Natey boy. As of last week he weighed 12 pds 12 oz. At 6 weeks old he is already in size 6 month clothes. He is trying to hold his head up already and can really kick!
We see the doctor this week for his 2 month check up (how I detest 1st shots) so I will post his 2 month pic and stats later. I just wanted to share this picture. Thanks Jo for telling me about his outfit at Children's Place - I just love it - because Yes, he is the man of my dreams.

Sass-a-frass
This girl is quite the sassy one. What a little know it all! I guess it is just the tone, I mean, I really don’t know where she gets it.
Yesterday she was reading books with Nana; Nate fell asleep so I took the opportunity to get a shower. I put Nate in the swing and off I went for my 20 minutes of peace & quiet each day (Yes, I really look forward to my showers). There I am enjoying the steamy serenity when the shower curtain is ripped back Psycho style and there is my not-quite-two-year-old with that look of accusation she usually reserves for her brother. She states
“Nate is fussy, he is hungry and HE NEEDS PICKED UP!” and off she runs out of the bathroom, leaving me a bit shocked, a lot cold and saying “what the hell?” By the time I got out and dried off, Nana has picked him up out of the swing but he was still fussing, he was indeed hungry.
I guess she told me.

Happy Valentines Day
A little late, of course. Seems like we can't get anything done on time, but we are trying, really and truely trying.
I wanted to get cards made to send out for Valentines Day this year , by the time I got Nate's birth announcements out there was only a few days left. This was taken on Valentines Day. Annabelle & I had a playdate with our favorite guys, T.D. & Brady. We brought home a balloon for Nate, which he loves. The photo shoot was all set up, backdrop covering the couch, balloons, our LOVE plaque, then Annabelle needed to have a meltdown. I finally snapped this one after we had given up on picture taking and were cleaning up, so there is no great pose, no cute decorations, just the kids laughing at Tom. I think it is my favorite picture ever.

Sorry Jeremy!

We had a lovely visit from Jeremy yesterday. I just could not resist capturing the look of love Jeremy was giving Nate as he slept in his arms. Unfortunately, the flash woke him up and Nate turned into Mr. Crank Butt at having his sleep disturbed.
I am still glad I have the picture, Nate is so very blessed to have a wonderful cousin like Jeremy.

Happy 1 month birthday Nate!

Today is Nate’s 1 month birthday. We celebrated by taking him to the pediatrician for his 1 month visit. His statistics are
11 pounds, 9 oz – 95th percentile
23 inches long – 90th percentile
I forget his head measurement but it is the 75th percentile.
So big boy, over 2 pound weight gain in one month. The exciting thing was when he smiled at the doctor. She was very impressed and said this usually does not happen until 2 months; in fact she said it twice. I can read between the lines.
Dr. says “it is very unusual for babies to social smile before 2 months, that is very good that he is doing it already”.
Dr. means “you better go ahead and fill out that preadmission form for the Ivy League schools, this boy will be studying quantum physics before most kids finish Junior High.
Happy Birthday Nate, my smiling big-little genius.

Annabelle loves being fancy.
Ever since her godparents bought her a Fancy Nancy book for Christmas (for those of you not in the know, Fancy Nancy books are about a little girl that loves to dress up and has to suffer it out with a family that is into everything plain) Annabelle loves to be fancy.
She has taken to wearng her tiara around the house with sunglasses and plastic rings, saying things like "I will have the RED spoon with my dinner tonight" or putting a bib over her baby doll calling it a "dressing gown".
As if she was not a diva enough already, insisting we all eat with our pinkies up and calling her grandmother "darling" is really over the top.
That is my girl.

Go Steelers
It is almost game time and Annabelle is not sure what to do with Nate’s over enthusiasm for all things Steeler. Well, he has a lot to catch up on, as one of the newest members of the Steeler Nation he is still learning all the rules.
Go Steelers!!!!
