Checking in

	Now that Nate is almost 3 (yikes, how did that happen?) we have been doing some big boy things. First eye doctor appointment.
	1st dentist appointment. Well, OK, 2nd dentist appointment. I forgot the camera the first time so we are calling this one first.
	Dr. Dan taught him how to fist bump. He wasn’t sure what to do with that.
	After witnessing him climbing both in and then then out we turned his bed from a crib to a toddler bed. We thought he would be thrilled but as the picture shows, he was not. He kept saying “my bed is broken”
	It’s been fun at night to see what position he will be in when we check on him.
	How does he even sleep like this?

Kids are kind of obsessed with on-screen puzzles lately. I have to say, Nate is fast when it comes to getting them completed.

We still pull out the wooden ones though, just to keep it real.

During our last visit, Aunt Charlotte introduced the kids to “Angry Birds” on the iPad. So one evening while we were out playing on the trampoline Nate announced he was going in the house to play his game. Wanting to keep them out in the beautiful Indian Summer air I suggested we make our own game.

We set up the Pig.

Then the kids took turns pulling each other back…

…and flinging into the Pig.

We even figured out a way to “double fling” them just like in the game.

In the end we declared Pig the winner for putting up with such shenanigans.
