As I loaded the kids in the car yesterday, Jonah was dawdling, as usual. I told him to hurry up and get in his booster seat. He frowned at me and, with a heaping dose of sass, said, "no". I gave him my mommy glare, and you could tell in his expression that he knew he was treading on thin ice. He looked at me out of the corner of his eye and I heard him say, "no......problem".
That's right little man. That's. Right.

Big Ham
Jonah has been a big ham for the camera lately. I took some pictures of him in his Cowboy Woody costume the other day. He's not having much trouble getting into character...

One of Michael's coworkers loaned us a Buzz Lightyear costume. Which means Jonah has to make the biggest decision of his life so far. Stay tuned. His brain may just explode.

Raised by dogs...
Gracie spit up this morning (a normal occurance). Before I could snag a burp cloth and make it back to wipe her up, our dog, Lucy, had licked her face clean. Jonah witnessed it, and instead of telling me about the incident, he chose to learn from it. What did he learn, you ask? To lick his sister's face. A big, tongue-all-the-way-out, slobbery, swipe across her forehead.
He also shook himself dry after his bath last night.

Vacation Pictures :)
We're back from California. It was a wonderful time for all of us! I've posted a ton of pictures below to recap the vacation...
Day 1: Disneyland, here we come!
The first night we were there (before we ever stepped foot in the parks), Jonah fell off the bed into one of the nightstands. He gashed his bottom lip and was bleeding everywhere. We saw the whole trip flash before our eyes and expected a trip to the emergency room instead. Once the cut was cleaned and bandaged, it didn't look quite so bad. This is the morning of day 1 (the fat lip didn't even phase him!)...
He loved it!
the teacups were a hit too...
and, believe it or not, he totally loved the Matterhorn Bobsleds! I didn't get to ride it with him, so I waited at the exit, biting my nails. I was expecting him to come off with a tear-streaked face, but he was all smiles! We rode a few more calm rides then killed time before the parade...
Day 2: Buzz and California Adventure

After a few more rides in Tomorrow Land, it was off to California Adventure. We managed to find exactly what we all needed on a hot day. Air-conditioned rides! Here's the lovely Roz from the Monsters Inc. ride...She was posted at the end of the ride, and I'm pretty sure there was a man-behind-the-curtain-thing going on because she would say hilarious things specific to the people sitting in front of her. For instance, the first time we passed her, she teased Michael about taking pictures of her ("Here. Take a picture of my good side.") Then, the second time we passed her, "Well. If it isn't my fan club."
The Bug's Life section of the park is perfect for the toddler demographic. We rode Francis' Ladybug Boogie, Heimlich's Chew Chew Train, Flik's Flyers, and then cooled off at the water feature...
Day 3: Tying up Loose Ends
and I was able to meet up with my friend Kara (who I haven't seen in more than six years) and meet her cutie-pie daughter, Evie...
Day 4: San Clemente
The beach was a great way to wrap things up...

Gone Road Trippin
We're off to Disneyland tomorrow! We'll be driving there and staying Sunday through Thursday. EXCITING!!!
Our recent road trip to Texas with a potty trained (boy-type) toddler was a smashing success. I'm positive we will do just as well on this short (5 hours vs. 13 hours) ride to CA.
