September Wrap -up

We had a fun and busy September:

Star War Mania is in full-swing getting ready for the new movie to come out in December.  This Wookiee is bigger than Macy :)

I took the boys to their (9) and (5) year old check-ups!

Talon officially attended his first Den meeting as a Bear

Talon wanted to join me on a morning jog ... next thing I knew ALL the kids wanted to join in.  So we put Macy in the stroller and headed out.  It was so fun ... we ran two minutes than walked too minutes!

Our ward had a luau and Talon's good friends came with us.  The girls did a DARLING hula dance

Macy and her little friend Hanna played on their scooters

Evie dressed Macy up in Snow White costume from Aunt Channy - - as you can tell, Macy was thrilled!

Michael and I were able to attend the J. Reuben Clark society dinner in Irvine.  The speaker was Elaine Dalton and it was wonderful!

Trae hit a BIG milestone and I was able to start dropping him off at school with crying!  This has been a big year for him!

Evie has started "texting" me from her old iPhone/ipod.  These messages are too sweet!

Since Trae was doing better at drop off we decided it was a good time to start carpooling with his darling friend Mila.  They have such a good time going to school in the car together ... aren't they adorable?

There was a supermoon lunar eclipse this month  ... it's not going to happen again for decades so we decided to take the three big kids out at night to see it!  We joined a lot of other moon-gazers in our park.

Our good friends the Morgans had their baby boy Grant and I was so excited to meet this sweet bundle of joy!

Fun with cousins

We've had a lot of fun with family this month:

We celebrated August/September birthdays at Celene's new (beautiful!) home:

Cheered on cousin Taylor at his high school football game

My cousin Nikki and her family were in town ... it was fun to meet up and let the kids play.

Justin came home from BYU and we, of course, had to go to the beach!

Make it a Claudine Day 2015

What a wonderful day "Make It a Claudine Day" turned out to be.  It's always so bitter-sweet ... remembering and missing Claudine, but being uplifted by the sweet service given by so many on her behalf!  I usually plan 9 acts of service each year and this year I : brought lemonade to a woman holding a sign asking for money or food in 100 degree weather // fed the missionaries // delivered thank you treats to some friends // brought goodies to Uncle Neil's ortho office // brought otter pops for the kids to share with friends after school // brought "Bear-themed" snacks for my first den meeting as Bear leader // delivered Papa Johns gift card to family whose father is going through chemo // paid for car behind me in drive-thru // HAND-made Claudine's lasagna recipe for Michael (his favorite!)
