March wrap-up

Although we didn't have many MAJOR events in March (as far as blog posts go), we had a lot of little things going on!!! ...

Talon started playing quarterback on his flag football team (for the first time) and is loving it!

St Patrick's Day fell on a Saturday this year, but early in March there was a Dr Seuss dress up week and they had a "GREEN eggs & ham" day so the kids got to wear their green then! :)

I had the best time hosting a display with Lisa at our Stake Relief Society night ... we were asked to share tips on Instant Pots and Crock-Pots!!!

One of my favorite sights (and reminiscent of MANY pictures of me growing up) ... I love what a GIANT reader Trae has become!

We are really enjoying the fun couples in our ward - such a great group!  We went and saw Black Panther (in a theater with RECLINING seats ... that have seat heaters on them!!!) :)

For our date this month Evie was VERY excited to do Color Me Mine ... I loved our time together painting and chatting

Evie and Kelsey started spring soccer on the "Lucky Charms" ... we were going to take a break from soccer until fall but they were offered a chance to join a team with other Chapman Hills girls and we jumped at the opportunity

We loved being a part of our niece Miley's baptism day - she was so darling and it was so special

We got new furniture for our living room - LOVE it!!  (my sister's helped a LOT!  Celene met me at Living Spaces to help me pick out the furniture, and then all of my sisters helped me arrange...and re-arrange...until we were happy with the final look!)

Collette was in town for the day and we sisters got together and celebrated Celene's bday

Celene's sister-in-law threw a fun 40th bday party for Celene and her ward friends

A FEW of the packages that arrived this month from my parents and the PCC :) haha

After some AWESOME report cards we took a scooter ride to Spoon Me to celebrate

We wore our Easter clothes the week before Easter (since Easter fell on General Conference this year).  It was unusually chilly that day and Macy was "freezing" but Evie tried her best to help her little sister ... so cute!

My cute Easter kids!

Trae came home from his primary lesson about the Resurrection with a picture he drew of Aunt Claudine

Stocking up at Costco for my parents - getitng their house ready for their arrival!

Cute Macy after her preschool Easter party

Macy also had her preschool Open House and couldn't wait to show us around

Talon (and Michael) were able to go on a campout with boys in our ward and the Webelos

Elder and Sister Williams arrive HOME!!!!

The day FINALLY came - we couldn't WAIT to see Elder & Sister Williams.  The kids worked really hard making their own posters, and we each wore our Aloha gear to the airport.  We anxiously waited in a big "welcoming" area with our signs and posters ... and cheered loudly when Nana and Bapa showed up at the top of the escalator.  Evie (months and months ago) had already warned EVERYONE that she got the first hug from them ... she could hardly wait!  We got lots of hugs, and took lots of pictures - and all headed to Cafe Rio for a yummy lunch, then back to my house to hang out and be together.  It was HEAVEN on earth having Nana & Bapa home again!

Chapman Hills Jog-A-Thon

Jog-a-thon is always one of our favorite school events!  This year we knew we wouldn't be able to stay long since we needed to get to the airport to welcome home Nana and Bapa.

One awesome part of the morning was that before the jog-a-thon there was an assembly for the studnets that were selected for the Coach John Wooden awards of the month ... and Evie was picked for "TEAM SPIRIT!"  We all loved being there to see her receive her award.

There were a few super heroes who attended the jog-a-thon, and while the students were getting ready Macy got some one-on-one time with Spider-man :) haha

Chapman Hills Talent Show

Talent show snuck up on us this year and we didn't have enough time to prepare an act.  But Talon tried out and became a "host" (like an M.C.) for the talent show ... it was him and 5 girls :)   He looked so handsome and we loved watching his confidence on the stage!

Disneyland Day - Jedi Training!

We had such an awesome morning at Disneyland ... this time cousins Anika & Coleman joined Clara, Celene, Macy and I.  We loved rocking our rose gold (and regular) minnie mouse headbands!  The highlight was watching the 3 youngest cousins participate in the Jedi Training show ... they were SO awesome and were able to fight Darth Vader and Kylo Ren.  Love it!
