Saturday

Right now I am laying in bed under a homemade quilt while my family is sleeping. Can you say Saturday?!?!
We went to the temple this morning and left the girls with a babysitter. Cam loves to have babysitters now! It is so nice to know she is not going to scream the whole time(Manda knows what I am talking about.) Layne on the other hand does good but still wants her momma. (She thinks I am a rock star:))

When we got home the girls and Dan crashed and I watched the movie Swing Vote. It's a good one, watch it.

Anyway the reason for this post is that I have to record something funny that Cam said.

Yesterday we told her we were going to Kinko's.
She asked if she could go to the bathroom there.
Dan told her if she needed to go she should go before we left.
She looked confused and asked why she couldn't go to the bathroom at "Tinckles".

Sometimes....

..you just have yo blast your mom with silly string!
Actually it was pay backs.
I went to Wal Mart today and couldn't pass up the silly string. So when I picked up Dan and Cam from the park I blasted them! Dan was shocked, and Cam was grossed out!!! She even started to gag!
I promised her that when we got home she could spray me. And with a little help from Dad, she got me pretty good! Then she thought it was hilarious!
She HATED that it was in her hair.

Layne got some too.

Real Life...

This is what I pulled out of the back seat of my car. Just thought I would share, because even I am impressed! To be exact there there were:
  • 4 pairs of shoes
  • 5 books
  • 1 cookie sheet
  • 1 My Little Pony
  • 5 toys
  • 1 party hat
  • 3 hair bows
  • 1 box of tools
  • 1 penguin backpack

and best of all...

Layne had a stock pile of socks stored under her car seat. She had stashed 17 socks!

broken washing machine, cam is funny and other stuff

Our washing machine broke this week. Don't know what happened it just broke. Lovely.
It really hard to live without a washing machine!

Camdyn put Layne in her toy stroller and pushed her all over the living room, she was only allowed on carpeted areas. Which was a good thing because Layne kept trying to bail out!

This week Layne learned how to climb the stairs. Now the work begins of teaching her how to climb down.

Cam has been saying some really funny things. Here are a few:

***When she was in the shower she squeezed around her belly so it looked like she had a little pooch. (no she doesn't have one, she had to create one).

And she said,"I look like Layne now!"

haha, yes Layne does have quite the pooch!***

***Cam gets opposites confused a lot. I told her we were going to get ice cream and she could get whatever toppings she wanted. On the way to the ice cream shop she asked what kind of bottom she could get. It took us a while to figure out what she meant.***

***Cam was talking to Daniel and being silly. When she was talking she had a lot of spit in her mouth and she said, "I sound like Grandpa Sherwood."***

Layne the jolly giant

I took Layne for her 9 month appointment. She had to get a ton of shots and her toe pricked. She was SO sad. Which I hate because she is the happiest little thing!
She is a pretty big girl. She weighs 18lbs and is 28 inches long. What can I say, the girl LOVES to eat. She got that from her momma:)
On Sunday she pulled herself all the way up for the first time and was so proud of herself. She is all over the place and tearing things apart, with a big smile on her face the whole time!
She is still sleeping great and cannot stay up past 6:30pm. She gets that from Grandma. That does lead to some rather early mornings for us. But I usually wake up to her giggling or talking to herself, so its not hard to get up for that!

happiness oozes from her!

It's funny the overwhelming contentment I feel, when there is so much uncertainty in the world right now. Even we are feeling a little bit of that uncertainty and yet the peace in our house is overwhelming. A blessing for sure!
Tonight we had a "dance party" before bedtime. We danced to Neil Diamond and giggled like only little girls can do.

Life doesn't get any better than this :)

Ok I hope this finishes up all the Eagar pictures.(There are alot of pictures, so just keep scrolling).
These are the remaining pictures from our time in Eagar. We had a good time there and we miss everyone SO much.
Camdyn and Kindee Phelps. Cam's first real babysitter. Weired, I used to babysit Kindee.

I think this is a very descriptive picture of Cam. She's a princess, she's a 'mommy' and she
can rock a Bass Pro hat. She really is a ball of fire. Cam and Grandma reading before bed. This was a huge step, when we first got to Eagar the only thing Cam would let my mom do is wipe her bum after she went potty. Not kidding.

MK and Grandpa Sherwood playing with Camo. Ya he is almost 90. Ya he is awesome.

Decorating a tree for the animal.

cute girl. cute boy.

My Grandma walking into her surprise 80th birthday party. She had no idea.

The adorable birthday cake.

Both of my Grandma's have a love of music. They definitely passed that on to me...not so much the talent though:(
I hope Camo gets a big dose of musical talent.

She loved listening to my grandma.
Isn't it so cool my kids have great-grandparents around? 4 to be exact!

Wayne and Layne
New nephew Davis with Grandma

cute boy in his Sadie's shirt.

maybe we are not ready for markers, at least permanent ones.

One night we cooked hot dogs and 'smore's outside for FHE.

Layne got hold of a gooey marshmallow.
When I put her to bed that night I realized her fingers were still stuck together!

The best Papa ever!

The coooolest grandma ever

I know scary right?
sheesh now I am tired! That was a lot. But I think I am officially caught up!

what we've been doing

We have been staying very busy around here. We survived unloading 3 1/2 months worth of stuff. wow we collected way to much stuff while in Eagar! We made it through Christmas and New Years in one piece and now we are getting back in to the swing of things.
We have been...

Having slumber parties in the living room(mom not invited)
Hauling poor little Guss all over the house.

ummm...

Hanging out with the Bedford's and their new precious baby!

Trying to pull herself up. I see half of her face peeking at me a lot.

Playing at the park.

The BIG slide

Really we aren't doing anything exciting, but I am glad I get to spend my days with these two little girls.
