Wildlife and Glacier Cruise with the Family

We stayed the night in Seward and woke up early for our cruise out of Seward.  It was a bit overcast in the morning and cold, but so pretty.  We had the best cruise I have ever been on.  We saw a bald eagle and an otter before we even left the harbor.  We saw a "smack" of jelly fish which means there were thousands of them all in one spot.  The water was turquoise blue where there were.  We saw all different types of whales.  A gray whale, a pod of Orcas and I can't remember the third one.  They were all in one spot feeding which is why they weren't afraid of the Orca being there.  The Orca whales came right up to the boat and swam underneath us.  It was better then any show I have seen at Sea World.  We saw puffin birds, and sea lions, sea stars, you name it.  Then we arrived at the Glacier and it was so beautiful.  While we were looking at the glacier it caved a few times for us which is always impressive when you hear the huge crack of the ice breaking apart.  While looking at the glacier a tour guide pointed out a black bear on the shore.  The workers were so excited!  They said it was the first one that they had seen during the season.  After 6 hours we were on our way back to Seward.  It was the best cruise I have ever been on, we saw more wild life in those 6 hours then I have seen in 4 years living in Alaska.  I am so grateful my family came and was able to experiance the opportunity to see where we live.
