Happy Lunar New Year, and a belated Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone out there!

and…….Happy 1st anniversary baby =)

The boy was working over the CNY wkends, so we didn’t get to celebrate at all. And what stinks more, he’s got exams starting this fri. So we’ve decided to postpone whatever celebration plans we have till end feb when his exams are over.

Life’s been pretty busy since my last update here. Other than sch, i was working temp for 3 wks. Speaking of which, i ought to be really ashamed of myself. I cldn’t survive the first wk not stoning in class after work, and one fine day when “big auntie” came, i was so so tired tt i actually almost dozed off at my desk. Not forgetting the papercuts i was getting once every 3-4 days. Now i’m really impressed with how my classmates can go to work, and still have so much time and energy to handle sch assignments. I think it’s just me. Even the boy thinks i shld be KEPT IN A BUBBLE, where i’ll be very very safe. Coz it’s just gonna be me, my tv, laptop, and food. I’ve actually reminded him to throw in my i-banking device so i cld shop online 😡

Anyhow back to where i was, i hope everyone’s enjoying their lunar new yr so far; whether it’s getting lucky at the gambling tables, gathering with relatives we only get to see once a yr, and collecting angbaos!!!

Running off now to my aunt’s place for dinner before meeting friends for a movie.

i haven’t been feeling well these days, and it all began frm tt tupperware of prawn crackers i had one and a half wks ago. the sore throat came, followed by cough, fever and flu. i wonder if it’s bcoz of all these viruses tt i’m starting to lose my temper so easily, and to the extend tt i’m feeling so much negativity.

it’s the some awful feeling tt i’m experiencing all over again, and it’s even more shitty when i can relate to no one (ok, there’s one, and i’m eternally grateful for having tt person ard). i want to tell them so badly abt what i have been going through, but something just holds me back.

i guess i know what/where the problem is now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

In a blink, another year has passed. The countdown was spent with the gfs and our respective other halves ❤ From coffee club, to the countdown at the centre stage @ clarke quay, to helipad. But what’s more happening, was witnessing a naked american getting beaten up for no reason (I supposed they didn’t like what they saw?!?) at Helipad’s carpark.

OK, I’ve digressed.

I’m not one who makes new year resolutions, coz i’d probably nvr follow them. So all i’m hoping for, is a better 2010 – whether it’s at home, with sch, friendships, love, health, etc. =)

Alrighty, gotta run before dad starts rushing me to get ready for church.

just got back frm midnight mass & chillout with my good old buddies 😀

clarke quay’s super happening tonight. as soon as we settled on the bridge to have our mac’s supper, we witnessed a fight which kinda left me feeling very afraid tt something might happen to us at any point of the night if we stayed there any longer. so basically, i just held on to my dear godbrother (whom my mum gave the responsibility to earlier after mass, to watch out for me) as we made our way to the planned “destination”. you never know who’s gonna suddenly pick a fight or puke right in front of you, especially when some were alr very high at 2.30am.

truth be told, i’m not quite like myself now. it’s kinda embarrassing to say this, but my head’s still swaying a lil’ from tt ONE glass of erdinger i had 😡

hidden meaning?!?

having been there with his friends before and telling me how good it was, babe decided to bring me to Hibiki @ the SG Flyer for dinner to celebrate our 10th mth.

the wasabi which i cldn’t bear to eat (i eventually did =p) coz it was just too pretty. 

as only a limited variety was offered for their buffet, we  simply repeated all our teppanyaki orders, and tempura. not to forget, my edamame!! i wish i cld have had more of the sushi and salmon sashimi, but unfortunately, they weren’t very fresh 😦

it was a simple affair coz babe had to rush off to attend to something else way much impt. yes, it definitely made me very unhappy but well..

i wish i cld have been a more understanding gf… blame it on tt time of the mth 😡

having talked abt it for the longest time, the XLBs finally met up for dinner!! it was something each of us were looking forward to coz we expected a 100% turnout. but…. brendy wasn’t feeling well at the very last minute and had to stay home. alright, at least there’s still 90%. you shld have seen how badly sized down the XLB was during the last few mths with all of us bz with sch, work, and army respectively.

dinner was supposed to be at holland v’s crystal jade, but we called to reserve a table too late, and had to settle for fish & co. @ glass house.

ben had the sharkie freeze all to himself. don’t be deceived. it was actually supposed to be served in a huge mug (think chomp chomp’s upsized sugar cane mug).

there was a promo going on for their fish & chips! for 11++, we were given a choice to try various countries’ fish & chips. most of us had the new york version, while qn, mali and dee decided to be a bit different by ordering the greek and philadelphia versions. i nvr got to try the latter, but the greek version was just darn eeeeekkkky. too much cumin stuffed in the fish, making it taste like same authentic indian dish 😡

same camwhoring moments while we decide where to head to after. we spent a good 30 minutes outside the restaurant coz we cldn’t decide what to do, and partially bcoz each time we see someone posing for pictures, we’ll jump in, pose, and then ask ourselves the same qn all over again —- ‘so how? what to do? where to go?’

i finally got to do some REAL shopping having not done so for mths! bcoz my dear ys had been feeling all moody the wk before, i suggested retail therapy which i thought was the best remedy for her. however in the end, i realised i was the one who needed it more.

no i wasn’t feeling anywhere near moody. let’s just put it like this way — i’m slowly starting to get sick of shopping online.

so you bet how satisfied i was with my mini loot tt day =p

results were released today and i was kinda surprised by the outcome, in a good way. =)

as i was too excited to fall back to slp, ys and i decided to meet earlier and head down to kate spade’s warehouse sale. it was a pretty uncomfortable 1 hr wait but well, it was all worthwhile (though initially i thought what i did was somewhat impulsive :x). at least i’m starting to love it a bit more now, having paraded in front of my mirror with it the whole night.

meeting the XLBs for dinner in a bit!!!

it all began with dinner at cedele @ wheelock last friday before we decided to head to the Helipad to chill.

it was pretty quiet for a friday night, not forgetting that it was a public holiday as well. but anyway, all the better. we saved ourselves from the trouble of having to find a good spot at the upper deck where we cld expect a good view of clarke quay!

both cel and mel’s bfs (who eventually became our photographers =p) joined us thereafter.

Helipad‘s entrance. from outside, the door pretty much looked like that of a lift especially when we had to press the ‘up’ or ‘down’ button to open it.

(pic ripped frm the said website) see, i told ya! thinking that it was really a lift which we had to take to get to the exact location, i actually kinda paused for moment to think which button i shld push!!

we spent almost half an hr there allowing the guys to perfect their poloroid shooting skills. and bcoz each of us girls wanted to have a poloroid pic for keepsakes, we had to maintain the same pose for quite awhile till we were able to produce 7 shots.

kudos to the 2 photographers who were made (by us!) to put on the hairbands mj got for us frm bkk, and pose with the poloroid cameras.

quite a sport, aren’t they. =)

on a side note, my exam results are coming out nxt thurs and i’m damn worried.

i’m so keeping my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

thank god the weather was good last saturday for the ceremony was held at the poolside.

their hotel suite was pretty, but what attracted all of us more was the view right outside. we cld see planes landing w/o having to squint, so you bet the view was definitely better than what we cld see from the viewing mall at terminal 1 (even before renovations). zomg, i simply love it!!!!

meiyan’s 21st

the party was held at the function room at parc vista condominium along corporation road. if i were to rate the function room, i wld give it 4 out of 5 stars! the place was neatly decorated, there was a pool table, two tvs playing both channel 5 and 8 programmes (which definitely kept us entertained), and washing basins right beside the bbq pit.

tt’s meiyan’s maltese which follows no one else ‘cept for herself and her mum. to take this pic, joelle had to literally chased it round the room. :p

i know you’ve heard this umpteen times but still, happy 21st meiyan!
