Through the end of January

For the second half of the month, beside school we have gone out and seen some sights. If you ever visit at least I will know where to take you!

Me out at the Cannery.

Checking out the tidal pools.

Checking out local out.... Dolphins.

I think this is a tree or something.

A large tree base that washed up after our last storm.

Me and mommy at the look out.

On the trail...

A real grassy meadow.

Having lunch in the tent.

It is a one man tent, but mommy and I fit really good.

Can you see us? I can not.

No worries, the next post will be better. I will make sure of it.

About 20 something days later and we are starting to figure this place out

As you know, we made it here and we celebrated Christmas. Then the holidays were over and we had to get on with life. Well life here is pretty good. Even if it rains a lot more than we thought it would.

I am back to school. I have a new teacher and lots of new classmates.

I figured out where to get doughnuts.

I found the Pacific Ocean!

Made some new friends.

Got to see what a grown up classroom looks like.

Visited a Navy Library.

Learned about ocean safety.

I have posed for a lot of pictures.

Most importantly I found a replacement place for Wild Willey's. That was a huge relief.

Got Daddy on a this thing.

Play the games on the board walk.

Went to a haunted house, who knew a board walk had a haunted house.

Got to lean the ocean likes sneaking up on you!

Learned how to keep my feet dry....

Got to watch some crazy waves.

And learned Florida and California schools share one thing in common. HOMEWORK!!

All in all we are settling in and enjoying the transition from Sort of East Coast to the very West Coast. And we have been here awhile and no one has visited. We have a bet no one will!

It was a long trip, but we made it!

In case  you were wondering, we made it across the United States. It was another epic drive, but at least this time, when we got here, we did not have to drive back to Florida. Crossing the vast expanse that is America in December can present some challenges. However, with two seasoned drivers, both cars and all their contents made it safely.

Once we left, needless to say, we drove and drove. Our first Bathroom break was in Mississippi. We stopped once in most states, but passed a few since we had plenty of gas.

Lets be honest, I took full advantage of my time.

I think they will figure out we are not in Florida anymore. Hurry up, you forgot my jacket.

Coldest temperature we encountered along the way. Yes, that is cold.

We got a house and the truck arrived, about 30 minutes in between signing and unloading. Talk about timing. It all worked out and our belongings only had to be unloaded once.

That is the new place we will be resting our heads for awhile.

We moved in and the tree went up. Otherwise, how was Santa going to find me?

We also found a barber shop. I was over due and so was Daddy.

We had a great Christmas! Santa was right on target.

I have improved my Lego skills since leaving Florida and I got a cool table too.

I went to the VA with Daddy. I have no idea why people think there is a problem there. I got hot chocolate with marsh mellows and gummy treats.

Even got to see a monument. It was made by one of the Veterans.

We have already been out checking out the hills and mountains. If you walk high enough, we have great views.

Our area is very top secret, we have watch towers to protect us. I volunteer at night and on weekends.

Daddy did not like the back yard, so he changed it. It was his first California project.

For New Years Mommy made Buuz. Of course they were awesome!!

And Daddy made bread for the Fire Department. That is a funny story we will tell you another day.

They liked the cinnamon bread, but who doesn't?

Anyway, we are settled into our new location. The house is unpacked and all the empty boxes have been picked up. We will try to update the blog once in awhile, it will depend a lot on Daddy. So do not hold your breath.

We hope where ever you are you had a Very Merry Christmas and that you have a Very Prosperous New Year.

Catching you up and Saying Good-bye

Sorry for the long delay in updating the blog  No real excuses, just busy with life and all that goes with it. We have been doing a lot: we have travelled much and we have even bigger travel plans in the works!
First, I will catch you up and then I will tell you what to expect in the future.

Our last post was in September and since then Mommy Celebrated a big birthday! No kidding, she is 29.

We cleaned the circle in front of our house. It was our last project before leaving.

Trust me when I say it looks a lot better.

Mommy and Daddy went to Washington DC so Mommy could run the Marine Corps Marathon!

Here is the finish line, before the race.

Here is Mommy at the Half Way point.... needless to say, she finished. Sadly, Daddy could not keep up to get a picture at the finish line.

Here is Mommy with one of her fellow Afghan Veterans. She gave them a tour of DC!

A week after DC, we all went to Disney World. I played hookie from school! How Awesome!

We explored Tom Sawyer's island!

We went with the Heywood family! It was so much fun. Well, here, mommy got all of us tablets to play with so we will be quiet and the adults can have a conversation.

We also went to Sea World.

I got to touch the dolphins.

When we got back I went to see the USS Drum and the USS Alabama again!

Unlike the Disney Cruise, the USS Alabama actually has a kiddie prison.

As always it was a great visit to a great ship - will be a while till I get to come back. Hope, California has ships.

A few days later, we headed off to Columbus. We visited with Grandma Pat and all the rest of our family.

Here is Cousin Tommy, we visited Grandma and Grandpa Collins. Tommy is Daddy's 1st Cousin and my 2nd Cousin. He is a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division.

Of course we visited Grandma Doris and put out new flowers.

Then we went back and visited Grandma and Grandpa Collins and put out new flowers there too!

We ate lunch at Chef Lee's with Aunt Bernie and Dalton. And a lot of other cousins.

Mommy cannot sit still - so, she got to cleaning attics and sorting clothes - and as a bonus, she got me some more clothes!

We visited Aunt Stacy and Uncle Bill. They put us to work painting.... you know Mommy, she can not sit still. So we visited and she painted!

After that we came home and me and Ammon went to Wild Willy's. We love playing the games there! It is just so cool!

We also enjoy racing the bikes!

Daddy cleaned the front yard for the last time!

And finally we attend the ward Christmas Party: Breakfast for Dinner....

And finally, if you made it through all that..... the big news is: Drum roll....
The movers come tomorrow!!  We are beginning the process of our move to California. Before Christmas we will be in Monterey, California. That is after we drive roughly two-thousand-five-hundred miles, hoping all the way that our belongings will get there too!

That said, we wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
