HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to you and your family.

May 2011 bring you the
realization of your wishes and dreams.

May it be one of your happiest and
most successful years.

May you have good health and
surround yourself with good friends!

It is Good to be HOME!

Thursday morning, mommy & daddy got up early and packed everything.  Then, of course, we added more to pack.
Cousin Kathy gave me my Christmas and New Year's presents.  So, I am sitting here wondering how to get them all to the car and pack them closeby so I can play with them and try the clothes on during the long road trip.
Mommy got a nutcracker girl-soldier; I know she in army camo and has blond hair, but still impressive there is one.

Then, after breakfast, we got on the road.  Mommy wanted to see the new road and the bridge by the Hoover Dam - so daddy easily consented to make a hour or two detour to get on I-40 and US-93 to go over that bridge.  Nobody asked me for my opinion but just expected me to be good and sleep and smile.

Oh well, we drove over the bridge but the railings were so high we couldn't see the Dam.  I guess, that is by design so people wouldn't stop on the road to take photos. So, no pictures folks.  But, the road is straighter and nicer now.  But, getting there from Las Vegas still looked painfully slow.
So instead of the bridge or the Dam picture, here is a picture of the Arizona hills.

Of course, since with the detour, the drive ended up being close to 14 hours, they were nice enough to divide it for over 2 days.
So, here we are in Washington, UT - another Holiday Inn Express. Mommy and I are chilling and watching Burn Notice.  Mommy looked up Texas Roadhouse and ordered their dinner and daddy went to pick it up.  I can't wait to get to order from a menu and eat with utensils.
It is morning already - the last day of 2010. I am all ready to get back on the road.

The road wasn't all that clear though - saw couple of snow plowers on the freeway.  Then, got to stop at Subway in Payson for lunch and gas.  Made it home safely.  Mommy did laundry, unpacked and played with me while daddy went shopping for groceries.  And now I am going to welcome the year of 2011 in my own bed in my own room.

Goodnite and will post next year.

Happy New Year.

Twentynine Palms - Day 3

Well, on Day 2, after everyone left - I got a bit hyper and didn't want to sit still. So, daddy played with me.
He held me up and tossed me high and crawled around with me on the floor too.

Sure got me tired and ready for bed.
Day 3 in Twentynine Palms. Sun came up and got bright outside.  Mommy and I looking around at the bird houses and what not - Aunt Sis came out with us to give us a short tour.
I am playing with daddy.
People started ordering bread - since daddy made bread for last two nights and everybody ate them all.  So, daddy made two more batches today. Mommy went to Base to get some flour and had to go out again later for a nearby market for spray oil.
Later, Cousins Kathy and Patti came to visit.  Kathy playing with me and mommy had to braid her hair so I wouldn't pull on it.
See, how much bread daddy made.
Mommy enjoying her dinner.
Kathy, Steve and Patti - at dinner table.

Well, we will be getting on the road again tomorrow.  Mommy got the route googled and hotel reserved.  We got to wake up early and get on the road.  Mommy got to pack tonight while daddy plays with me and I hang out with aunt Sis and cousin Kathy.

Will post from the road tomorrow.  So, later folks.  Leave comments please.

Twentynine Palms - Day 2

Today, mommy & daddy went on their usual runs - this time at a park not far away from here.  Then, after breakfast, we went to the Marine Corps base - we got some more food and diapers for me and got some more flour for more bread.  Then, we waited for people to show up and waited and waited.
Krista holding me.  She has a month old boy - Nicolas.
Here is Nicolas with great-grandma.  This dude has some hair, man! He needs a high 'n tight!
Nicolas' sister Olivia and me - I liked her hair and wanted to play with it - but she wasn't too happy - so she got mommy braid it for her.
Cousin Patti - she is Nicolas' grandma.
Mommy with Nicolas.  She was surprised that I used to be that small - how soon they forget.
Steve holding me.  He is Patti's husband.
Dinner table - having pizza, salad, and bread daddy made - he made another two batches today.
Since everyone was ignoring me, I wanted to watch TV.  But, couldn't find the remote, so I am trying to slide myself on the counter to the set to turn it on.
Mommy got me and played with me.  It is funny when she brings my toes to my mouth.  I can't help but laugh. Am I flexible or what.
Nicolas' family: Nicolas, James, Olivia, and Krista.  Nicolas wasn't going to wake up for the family photo moment. But at least his daddy lifted him up to get him in the picture.
David is back.  He brought his dinner and hung out with us. Mommy & daddy likes to joke and they can be sarcastic - but he is cool and takes it and jokes back with them.

So, we will see some more people tomorrow and then, the day after, I guess we will be heading to Utah.

Twentynine Palms - Day 1

On Monday, we woke up, mommy & daddy exercised and after mommy getting everything packed we were ready for our next adventure - this time to the desert.
We saw hundreds and hundreds of windmills.  Wonder how much energy they produce or save or how much they cost in the first place.
There were plenty not working - wonder nobody wants to repair and keep them working.

After some traffic and bad roads, we made it is 29 Palms, CA where uncle John and aunt Sis lives.
Aunt Sis with me.
Uncle John with me.  He took me around in his chair while mommy and daddy unpacked and got my pack 'n play set up.
I, of course, had visitors who came to see me.  One of them, cousin David, brought me a Santa outfit. So, I had to humor him by wearing it for a while.  It said for: 3-6 months, but, my arms were too muscular to fit through the narrow sleeves. So, you can't see my fingers.
Aunt Sis still has her tree up - so we could have back dated the camera and made it look like I was the Santa bringing presents. :-)
After getting out of Santa outfit, I was ready to talk to everyone and be at the center of action.
Cousin David and I.
Aunt Sis said I could play with the table cover - the Santa one.  So, I practiced my ripping wrappings from presents.  I will be better next year.
John, David, Daniel, Christopher and Keith.  David is dad's first cousin and John and Daniel are his second cousin - so are they all my second cousins?  I am confused so I will say I am related to all of them.
John and his girlfriend Renee.  David kept giving her hard time, but she smiled and took it and had some witty responses back too - so she is cool in my book.

Dad made some bread and most of it was gone by the end of dinner.  So, daddy will have to make some more tomorrow.

Visit with Ub and Family

After visiting with auntie Zaneta, we checked into our hotel, freshened up a bit and figured out our direction to Palm Avenue where our next visit was to.  Mommy & daddy's friends from Mongolia / Hawaii and their children - one of them younger than me.
Auntie Ub's mom visiting from Mongolia - she made mommy & daddy some Mongolian food and played with me.
Here is I am getting to know Khash who was born a month after I was.  He is bigger than me but not taller.  I was trying to tell him some tricks about standing up and locking his knees.
Auntie Ub with her three children: Khuslen -5, Khulan -3, and Khash -3 months old.  It sure was fun to see another baby and have something to teach.
After long day, many visits and much drolling and spit ups, I was ready for my bath.  Somehow, daddy got me wearing the bath towel on my head.  Okay - I am all clean now - ready for my dinner and sleep. Will see you all tomorrow.

And, please write something when you come visit and read what I have to say. Coz mommy keeps saying the counter had added double digits and visits where made from all these different places but I have nobody's comments to read.  If you have nothing to comment on the post, just say how cute I am - I will take that. :-)

Visit with Zaneta

Goodbye San Diego - we left around noon this morning and drove and drove and drove.  California roads have potholes and the drivers are not friendly.  daddy wasn't too happy about either.

But, we made it out of San Diego and into San Bernardino. We came to visit couple of mom's friends.
First one was auntie Zaneta - she is from here but lives in Big Apple now.  She even said I could come visit her.  Here she is with mommy and I. I got light hitting the top of my head - mommy thought it was funny.

Mommy served with auntie Zaneta in Idaho Boise Mission. They haven't seen each other for almost ten years but they had kept in touch through the facebook and kept up with the big events in their lives through the blogs.  She said she will post my picture on her blog.  So, I will be on two different blogs. Wow.
Auntie Zaneta held me and talked to me.  She didn't even freak out when I puked on her pants.  That is how I know the nice ones from the naughty ones.  So, she is a keeper.
Here I am on her living room floor after getting my poopy diaper changed and all.  Auntie Zaneta's mom even laid on the floor with me and played with me - I guess daddy didn't capture that one in his camera.  Oh well, I will just have to come back to San Bernardino next year to get a picture with them again.

Now, we are at our next Holiday Inn Express and then, off to dinner - some Mongolian food - mommy & daddy said yummy.  Since I can't eat any - I will just have to watch them eat and cry if they ignore me for too long.

Visit to San Diego

This afternoon we drove another 3 hours to the south - to San Diego.  Got very close to the International Border. Another trip for me. We went to visit daddy's friend Will - he served in Iraq with daddy.
Uncle Will and Richard with me (Richard is holding me).

Uncle Will, Daddy, and Richard

We visited for a while - aunt Lisa made some lumpia - one of mom's favorite Filipino food.  Somehow daddy never took her picture or their daughter Olivia's.  Hmm. Well, next time, I will have to take some pictures of them.

Then, we headed to our hotel - another Holiday Inn Express!
They got a room with one king bed.  Hmm, I am trying to take over the bed!
See, I set up the pillows as my little couch and having fun on the bed!

Sleep well folks - will have more posts from more trips of tomorrow!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to each of you and your family! May you have a joyful one and have a wonderful time surrounded by family and friends. Remember to be thankful!

I sure am enjoying my very first Christmas - I have not lacked food nor hugs, nor kisses.
In the morning of Christmas grandpa was back in his apron - getting brunch ready.  Daddy helped set the table and grandma and daddy helped cut up the fruits for the salad and all.
Here is the table all set for us.  Daddy even poured orange juice for mommy and himself.
Uncle Chris, cousin Connor and aunt Laura.
Mommy and I.
Finally daddy got a picture of grandma sitting at the table and smiling and eating.  She always seemed to be out of the picture for dinner last night - either in the kitchen or turned around helping Ella.
Grandma and grandpa with the grandkids.
I got this Christmas ornament from aunt Arleen and uncle Tom in Virginia - daddy kept it till this morning for me to open it.  It says: "Baby's first Christmas - 2010" on it.  I sure will need a Christmas Tree next year - so I can start putting all my ornaments on.

Before we said our goodbyes and headed out we took some more pictures!
Me with grandma and grandpa Young.

Cousin Connor with his parents: uncle Scott and aunt Laura.

Goodbye grandpa and grandma - I will see you again soon!
