The After Christmas Snow Storm

It is the day after Christmas and the snow is coming down. We had a semi-white Christmas, there was snow on the ground, but the day after is looking a lot like Christmas!

It started early this morning and has not stopped! So Daddy and I went out to clear some off the drive way and side walk. That and to build a snow man!

The garage door opened to a winter wonderland!

Breaking trail.... It is cold and deep!

It is really snowing, I think this is where the side walk is.

Working on my snow man while daddy clears the drive way.

I am not going to make it bigger than me.

Practicing for the father & son snow ball fight.

A picture out the back door. It sure is white out there!

It is supposed to snow until Thursday evening, so we might get us a lot more snow. Close to 5" in the valley where we live, so I can only imagine how deep it is in the mountains.

Christmas Morning with Mommy and Daddy!

Finally it is Christmas morning.... and I get to see what are in all those boxes under the tree. I gave him the list light night, but I am sure he got what I wanted.

Here I am surveying the scene with Mommy....

I got a Thomas the Train from Aunt Doreen.

I got a car from Aunt Arleen and Thomas tracks from Aunt Coleen.

And from Grandma and Grandpa Young I got clothes and books!

I got some more train tracks from Santa!

If you did not know, I like trains.... I learned how fun they are way back in June.

Hmmmm.... Santa and everyone else got me something, but what did Mommy and Daddy get me! Hmmmm.... I guess I got a whole lot of love! What more could I really want and everything else is just gravy.

I hope everyone else got what they wanted for Christmas. I also hope each and everyone of you had a very Merry Christmas and you have a very good new year!

Dinner with Grandma Cook's Family

It is a Christmas Eve tradition for the Cook Family to have a really, really big gathering of all the family. Grandma Cook, her kids, their kids and their kids' kids.... and we were invited too. And believe it or not, they are such a big family, even Santa Clause comes, that way he has time for the rest of the world.

Here I am waiting to see Santa. They were going in Alphabetical order, so I went by my first name and not last. Daddy told me he was scared as a child always going last.

Still waiting, but a lot closer.

It is my turn.

It was a really long list and I was not scared this year.

Daddy, do you have my other list; it will be easier for him to remember if I just give him a copy.

Him Santa Clause, give him the list.

I really hope he can remember with all these other kids here.

Grandma Cook and Mommy....
Grandma Cook, me and Mommy.... Mommy seems to be distracted! Wonder if she is thinking about my list?

It was a really nice visit with all the Cooks. We ate a good meal, watched the Cook kids act out the Nativity and then they had a talent show. It was a full night out and the most special of gatherings. Next year we will be hanging out in Florida or Georgia with the Collins clan.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Moving on up to the big boy bed.

Another milestone has been reached. I am moving from the toddler bed to a full size bed. My Crib/ Toddler bed is upgradable and it is time to upgrade.  Mommy and Daddy talked about it for awhile, but it is time!

My last silly picture in the toddler bed.

Are you serious, how am I supposed to sleep in this thing?

I had to ask? It would seem what we needed was not in stock, so we will get it tomorrow!

Wow, this thing is huge. And it is a lot of fun.

Mommy made it for me.... just this once.

This thing is huge.

I will be able sleep, play and otherwise just relax in my full size yacht.

I bet I will get a good night sleep tonight, if I ever want to go to bed.

A snowy day....

Just some pictures of a snowy day!

Our house....

The back yard.

A look from the back porch.

Me getting my front loader to move snow.

Out on the job sight.

Yes, my hours are long and hard.

Even at night I have to work.

Hmmmm. I have an active imagination.

The lights on Temple Square

Here are a few of the pictures that turned out from our visit on 12-12-12 to Temple Square!

The Temple from the West Side.

The Temple from the East Side.

Outside, the Shepard's and Sheep.

Across the water!

If you have not gotten down to see the light. We recommend  you go and see them. They are up until after the new year!

Making Breakfast with Daddy....

We have a family tradition that on weekends Daddy gets up and makes breakfast. Well, actually he does that every day for me, but on weekends, he likes to make pancakes. Now that I am two and a half, Daddy said I can start to learn how to take care of myself. That includes washing my clothes, cooking, cleaning the house and making my bed. So today I learned how to mix pancake batter. He would not let me cook, he said that is another lesson when I am four. So for now I am only an assistant chef.

Here we are in the kitchen. I had to stand on a chair so I could reach the top of the counter.
I learned you have to pour milk carefully or it does not last very long.
After that I learned it takes two eggs, not a dozen. So why does the egg thing have 12.
Mixing is not easy, I need to work out more.
It seems a lot easier when Daddy is doing it.
We made blackberry pancakes, that is Mommy's favorite and they are good.
I am using my left hand here, but it is harder. I am actually right handed....

The pancakes turned out really good. Between the two of us they turned out just right. Daddy and I make a good team, just like Forrest Gump and Bubba. Yep, we even cook with shrimps some times!!

If you ever find yourself in our neck of the woods, stop in on Saturday (After Calling) and I am sure we can cook you some dandy pancakes.

Tis the season to be silly

It is the Holiday Season and the stockings are hung and BOOM - out of no where a elf shows up...

The Stockings and tree....
The elf that knows stockings are not just for hanging.
They make great feet and hand warmers.
and you can slide in them.
They keep your hands warm and your feet too.
and just when you thought it could not get any funnier...
You can use swimming goggles to look even funnier.
And I can dance and jump!

Yes, I need to take that camera away from Daddy, but I did ask him to help me put them on. So I can not totally blame him.
