JUSTICE FOR ALEX FLORES!

RACIST KILLER COPS PLAGUE OUR COMMUNITY

On November 19, 2019, Alex Flores, a 34-year-old Latino man was shot and killed by LAPD officer Steven Ruiz of the Newton division. Alex joins the hundreds of mostly Black and Latino workers stolen from us by killer cops. Year-after-year LA leads the nation in the number of workers killed by the cops. Since DA Lacey was elected in 2013, more than 500 people have been killed and she has not indicted 1 single cop!

Racist killer cops are a plague on our community and are a greater threat to our lives than the corona virus! But like the fear the media pushes to keep us silent and in our homes, we know that the best public health measure for our community are these killer cops off our streets! We demand justice for Alex and for all our sisters and brother killed by these racist thugs! Alex Flores was born on April 4, 1985 in Los Angeles, CA. He came from a hard-working class family. He was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle and friend. He would enjoy spending time and playing with his nieces and nephews. He was always bringing laughter one way or another.

As we demand justice for Alex, we also demand justice for his brother Armando, who was arrested the day after our Flores Friday protests on February 15th and is still behind bars. He was undoubtedly targeted by the racist cops to intimidate the family and supporters who have been protesting every week since he was killed. Not only does LA lead the nation in those killed by the cops, LA jails cage more people (majority Black, Latino, immigrant and unhoused) than any city in the US which cages more people than any country on the planet! We the Flores Family and supporters demand:

We demand a meeting with the District Attorney and that Steven Ruiz be indicted for murder!
We demand the release of the Coroner’s Autopsy Report!
We demand full compensation for this wrongful death and payment for his funeral and burial services!
We demand an end to LAPD’s “shoot to kill” policy!
We demand a halt to the targeting by police of Black and Latinx workers!
We demand a halt of all police contact with those suffering from mental illness!

POLICÍA RACISTA Y ASESINA PLAGA NUESTRA COMUNIDAD

E n el 19 de noviembre de 2019, Alex Flores, un hombre latino de 34 años, fue asesinado a tiros por el oficial del LAPD Steven Ruiz de la división Newton. Alex se junta con los cientos de obreros (mayoría negros y latinos) robados de nosotros por la policía asesina. Año tras año LA es un líder en la nación por el numero de trabajadores matado por la policía. Hasta que La Fiscal del Distrito Lacey fue elegido en 2013, mas que 500 personas habían matado y ella ¡no ha acusado ni una policía!

¡Policía racista y asesina son un plaga de nuestra comunidad y son una amenaza mas grande a nuestras vidas que el virus de corona! ¡Pero como el temor la media se puse para estar en silencio y en casa, sabemos que el mejor acción de salud publico por nuestra comunidad es quitar la policía asesina de nuestras calles! ¡Exigimos justicia por Alex y por todos nuestros hermanas y hermanos matado por esos rufianas racistas! Alex Flores nació el 4 de abril de 1985 en Los Ángeles, California. Alex provenía de una familia de clase trabajadora. Era un hijo, hermano, tío y amigo amoroso y afectuoso. Le gustaría pasar tiempo y jugar con sus sobrinas y sobrinos. Siempre traía risas de una forma u otra.

A la misma vez que exigimos justicia para Alex, también exigimos justicia para su hermano Armando, quien fue arrestado el día después de nuestro protesta de los Viernes Flores el 15 de febrero y todavía esta en el cárcel. Sin duda él fue dirigido por la policia racista para intimidar la familia y sus partidarios quien fue protestando cada semana desde Alex fue asesinado. ¡No solo es LA un líder en la nación por el numero de trabajadores matado por la policía, los cárceles de LA jaula mas personas (mayoría negro, latino, imigrante, y sin casa) que ninguna ciudad en EEUU que jaula mas personas que cualquier país del mundo! Nosotros, la Familia Flores y sus partidarios, exigimos:

• ¡Exigimos una reunión con la Fiscal del Distrito y que Steven Ruiz sea acusado de asesinato!

• ¡Exigimos la publicación del informe de la autopsia del forense!

• ¡Exigimos una compensación total por esta muerte injusta y el pago de sus servicios funerarios!

• ¡Exigimos el fin de la política de "disparar a matar" de LAPD!

• ¡Exigimos que se detenga la focalización por parte de la policía en trabajadores negros y latinos!

• ¡Exigimos el cese de todo contacto policial con personas con enfermedades mentales!
