Headbandz

I will miss this boy when he goes to school all day!

Snow

We have had very little snow this year--which I don't hate.  The kids and I attempted to make a snowman over Christmas Break, but it was so powdery so we made a snow castle instead!

The Elf On The Shelf

This year we had an Elf on the Shelf.  I swore we would never allow Elves again after being traumatized in Alabama.   However I finally caved and allowed an elf to visit from the North Pole.  Addie named him Henry.  Henry was hilarious and must have spent too much time searching Pinterest for crazy ideas.  We got a good laugh every single day during December!

A Very Merry "Disney" Christmas!

Christmas morning was so. dang. fun.  The kids were excited to see what they got from Santa, but my favorite thing was seeing them open their gift from Chris and I--Annual Passes to DISNEYLAND!!!!  And not only that--we told them we were going over New Year's.  So dang fun!!!!  We also got a Mickey Mouse Waffle maker and had waffles instead of our traditional cinnamon rolls.  The kids were beyond spoiled and so excited.  I heart Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was pretty low key.  We made gingerbread houses with Grandma, played games, ate dinner and exchanged our homemade gifts.  The homemade gifts are my absolute favorite thing about the holidays!  Spencer made Chris a shooting kit, Kennedy made me a decorated box for my hair dryer and curling iron, Benson made Kennedy a potholder emergency kit for her backpack, Addie made Spencer a cup and plate she decorated, I made Addie a recipe box kit, and Chris made Benson a little pop gun.  We said goodbye to Henry the Elf and everybody got new Mickey and Minnie Disney pajamas.  Kennedy was hilarious.  She picked up the pajamas and then kept looking in the box like there might be something else (maybe a Disney ticket?) in there--she was a little disappointed and Chris and I had a hard time keeping a straight face!
