Winter Performance

Kelbi loves anything having to do with music, she is always dancing and singing so we put her in her first dance group this year. She had her winter performance last night, her group danced to Santa Claus is coming to town. She did such a fabulous job and I have to admit that after three great boys it was such a joy for me to go and watch a girly thing. Her teacher is a friend of mine and she saved me front row seats and turned to me right before they started and said "Are you ready?" Yes I was a bit excited!
Chris was out of town on business and her two older brothers refused to go support her...naughty boys! Coby came through with flying colors as well as my parents. I'll be honest I took them to Olive Garden after for dinner to teach the older boys a lesson about supporting their siblings.

This is Kelbi's best friend Charlotte they love playing together.

This is Kelbi's teacher Jill and her daughter Alli who Kelbi thinks both of them are her hero's and wants to be just like them. Thanks Jill for a fabulous concert. Ya I don't know why my daughter is never looking at the camera.

Thanksgiving

This year we had a nice small Thanksgiving at our house. It was the year to go to the in-laws but we had no invite so we had dinner at our house. We had my mom and dad over, my sister's husband was working at the fire department & her in laws are on a mission in South Africa so she came with her 2 girls, and my aunt and her boyfriend came also. We had a huge feast with all the fixins' and then my mom brought over her new Xbox kinect for us all to play. It was a blast to do the dance game we looked like fools but got some good laughs. I have much to be grateful for this year.... my loving husband, beautiful children, my extended family, friends, home, the gospel and just the happiness in life I enjoy. I love Thanksgiving it's the start of the holidays and building memories. Now the tree is up and the shopping has begun! Sorry no pictures I was so busy cooking and hosting I forgot to take pictures.

Pumpkin Carving 2010

My blog posts are so out of order my Halloween night post is a ways down but when you wait so long to blog you just get so mixed up. We did our annual pumpkin carving party at my moms house this year. Poor Chris had to miss it because of church commitments but we still had fun. Grandma Howarth and Cal were in town to which was a real treat.
Doesn't this picture just sum it all up about what she thought of sticking her hand in that pumpkin?

Grandpa to the rescue.

My brother, his wife, and my cute little nieces.

We celebrated Grams 77th birthday. We are so lucky to have her she is such a fun little snappy lady.

All the rest of the pictures are so funny because it is freezing and pitch dark and we are taking pictures over and over again, you never know what you are going to end up with.

Reflections

This years them was "Together We Can"...... Conner titled his project together we can soar to higher places and he worked for probably 12 hours on his drawing he put his whole heart into his project.

Coby built 3d legos for his project and titled it together we can make history. Coby actually one an award and his project moved on to the counsel, we are still waiting to see what happens. I am so proud of them for wanting to do reflections because I never did. They are so wonderfully creative.

UEA Weekend

We headed to St. George with my parents for UEA this year. First up we went to Tarzan the musical at the Tuachan. Chris dad came to visit us before he headed out for London to see Chris' brother, the kids really loved to see Grandpa Mike.

All above pictures are of us at Tarzan. Thanks Katie for watching Kelbi for us so we could enjoy our evening.
For sure we got in plenty of swimming, I'm pretty sure that my children are fish. Cade also spent a good amount of time fishing with my dad at the lake.

Love this picture....what a cutie if I do say so myself.
We love to hike at a little park up above the city, ya I know it doesn't look like your typical park but it is fun.
Cade way up high and being all manly.

View from the top of the city and the St. George temple

I think this shot is neat.

It's really beautiful from the top.

Next up was Zions park with my mom and our friend Katie and her girls. My dad checked out to do more fishing but Cade didn't want to miss Zions.

Conner kept running in spite of our warnings and ended landing himself right on his rear end in the red mud so he had to hit the creek to clean off.

It was my moms birthday on the way home so we stopped into Chili's to treat grandma lunch for her birthday. What a fun trip I swear sometimes I think I could live in a hotel and dine out every meal. I will say it is nice to come home to more than a one room hotel room.

Conference Weekend

For Conference Weekend this year Chris surprised us with a trip to Salt Lake and a stay in the Marriott hotel. We really had a great time swimming, going to the movie, eating out, shopping and doing build a bear. Chris and Cade were at priesthood session and I finally gave in and let them make bears it was such an expensive great time.

So we take our kids to the "family" restaurant Bucca De Bepo for dinner and seriously check out the picture above my husbands head. Good food but really........do you want your family to look at a mold of a pretty much naked lady? It was fun anyways and we did get a good laugh. Thank you Chris for being so thoughtful.

Webelo

Conner earned his Webelo, we are so proud of him & all his hard work to earn this badge. He is now working toward his religious knot and his Arrow of Light. In our den when you earn a badge you have to eat gummy worms out of whipped cream in a pie tin and see who can do it the fastest. The kids love this so I had to post pictures of Conner going through his right of passage he is the boy on the farthest left.
Yikes!

Halloween 2010

We started out Halloween with a costume parade at the school. There were no masks allowed so the kids had to change up their costumes a bit. Conner was Captain Hook a costume my overzealous mother made for Cade for a play a few years back....isn't it awesome!

Coby during the parade buzzing right on by thus the fuzzy picture.

Halloween night was just a rainy mess but the kids were still excited and persevered. Kelbi being the girly girl that she is chose to be a purple and pink princess.

Conner, Coby, and friends getting ready to head out trick or treating. Conner is the one with the silver mask and green glow stick.

Conner had his best friend from the old hood come over for a sleepover for the weekend and they had a blast together.

See....check out that yucky weather.
Cade was stinkin' cute and took Kelbi out trick or treating, she made it to four houses and came back with this look on her face.....not so much the happy princess anymore. Later it quit raining for a bit and Chris and I took her out and she made up for everything and came home with a loot.
