One Big Girl Comin' Up

Kelbi has been begging and begging to have a big girl bed like her brothers now for a while. I'm the type that has to find just the right thing that's in my mind. I was looking every day on ksl.com for a bed and finally the other day this one just grabbed me. I loved the tall spindles...beautiful! Next battle in my mind was that I pictured the bed to be white but this one was so perfect that I decided to run & get it anyway.

Kelbi is so excited, she just loves it and feels so grown up, she has been wanting to go to bed at around 7:00 since we put it up. So sad to see your baby growing up.
I actually like it even better in black it seems to give it that pop that her room needed. we are still waiting for an eyelet bed skirt, just love eyelet anything. By the way do you know how hard it is to find bedding in lavender & green? Pretty tricky!
Also stopped into Ross and found this little toy box to put her dress ups in as well as two others for her toys for dirt cheap....Ya Score! Anyway it was really fun to put a smile on her face, and that's what I've been up to.

Cubs in Armour

We just had our annual Blue & Gold Banquet. We picked a medieval theme because we thought the boys would just love that! The title was "Cubs in Armour"
Every year we do a cake decorating contest (each boys wins so it's not really a contest). Conner found a dragon cake on the internet & luckily we were able to pull it off. He was really proud of it and won "best cake shape"

Kelbi dressed up as a princess of course.

Conner earned two more pins for Webelos and will earn his "Arrow of Light" next month.

We had the families bring a cookie sheet which we placed roasted red potatoes, fruit, rolls, and a whole roasted chicken. We gave them plates and a knife to cut the chicken and then it was fingers only....it seems to have been a hit!

The cubs made all the banners that we hung across the ceiling.

We made the castle and the cubs used it to tell jokes and do skits. Coby was especially excited for the night because he will join scouts in May so they brought him up and introduced him along with giving him a cute little goody bag. It was a really fun evening and I'm glad to have it over with. Scouting really is fun!
