Juicy Lucy

Mother's Day was wonderful and I had all the usual stuff...breakfast, sweet notes and projects from the kids but my most favorite part was watching this....My brother in law made what he calls Juicy Lucy's (don't know if that's spelled right) It's filled with cheese and bacon and topped with grilled onions and he challenged Chris and Cade to partake.

Yikes! Colby finished his and Cade & Chris were about a bite short. Thanks for the good times Colby and Becca!

Howarth Family Reunion

Howarth Family Reunion
April 30th, 2011

All I can say is look at the posterity my Grandpa and Grandma made. We still had 6 cousins and their families who couldn't make it along with my brother and his kids. This is my mom's side of the family. We met at Wadley Farms in Lindon for dinner, photo's and catching up.

My mom's brother Jeff passed away when his youngest was 3 & this is now his family all grown minus those missing.
My cousins who are my uncle Greg's children & they all have a slug of kids to.

Kelbi and her cousins
Coby enjoyed getting to know a new cousin

Sheila my mom's sister was there but her kids were not able to be there.
Grandma and Cal her significant other. My Grandpa passed away a few years ago.
This is Valene my cousin but more like a sister. She came to live with our family when she was 11, her mom who was my mom's sister was killed in a car accident. Valene put this whole thing together and worked really hard & I want to thank her for everything she did.

She's her own person

This is what you get when you let a 3 year old dress themselves...and yep we let her go out and ride her bike like this to!

Easter 2011

The kids were up this year at 6:00 am trying to wait their best to come down to see their baskets...well not Cade he came down around 10:00am.

Kelbi is really into Ariel everything right now.

We all headed to my mom's in the afternoon for dinner and fun.
The girls....would you ever believe my sister is like 8 months pregnant in this picture?

Kelbi loves to feed the horses carrots at my mom's place.

The littlie's heading out for their head start on the Easter egg hunt.

Cade isn't loving photos these days so the only one I could get is his rear end...see what happens when you wont smile for the camera. He was into the Easter egg hunt when he found out their was some money in those eggs.

My mom's friends came for the party and they spoiled the kids rotten! This is Rick helping Cash boy decorate his cookie.

Tulip Festival Performance

Kelbi performed at the tulip festival the other night. It looks sunny but seriously it was 50 degrees outside and most of the tulips hadn't bloomed.

Her performance was so fun to watch this year as she pretty much decided half way through the performance to do her own solo. Chris posted it on facebook.

They performed the working song form the movie Enchanted.

Spring Break 2011

Chris had a conference in Vegas so we decided to tag along during spring break. I forget how disgusting Vegas is but we did have fun & we were able to keep the children fairly protected from the filth there.
First day we went out to Primm and shopped the Nike outlet big time!!! Then we hit Buffalo Bill's to ride the coaster and log ride. Everyone rode the log ride but only Coby and I rode the coaster...seriously I'm getting old it scared the crap out of me.

This seems to be Kelb's new pose.

We checked out Ceasar's palace and then went out to see the dancing waters at the Belagio.
Bad picture I know but this man was being a statue and Coby just went & stood and stared at the poor guy forever. We finally gave Coby a tip to give to him and he soldierly moved and gave him a sucker, then took a picture with Coby....he loved it!
Checked out the M&M store and saw the 3d movie there.

Checked out the Coke store and when we came in the door there were 2 teen girls taking a picture with the bear and the bear bit one of them on the head unexpectedly, she then screamed which made Kelbi completely freak. We went upstairs to get some Icee's & when we tried to go back down the escalator Kelbi started screaming about the bear and refused to get out of her stroller. I picked her up mid temper tantrum and with her came the stroller which Cade had to pry off of her behind to get her out of that place...pretty embarrassing but really funny!

They have a great outdoor mall there with a fabulous park the kids played at, Cade shopped, and we ate at California Pizza Kitchen.
We went out to tour Ethel's chocolate factory and Cactus garden. The tour was a flop & the cactus garden was pretty neat.

We had to go to the Silverton Buffet for the middle boys and go to the Bass Pro Shop for all the kids to see the fish and shop a bit.

We swam a lot and enjoyed the nice warm sun!

On the way home we stayed in St. George and hit Pancho & Lefty's with Grandpa Mike! Spring Break was great but I slept like crumb and was so excited to get home to my nice warm soft bed!
