More oldies but goodies.

Random picture of my child playing with very safe and educational toys. This is one of those pictures you find later on the camera and your child realizes that maybe taking pictures of themselves doing things they shouldn't isn't the best idea.
A fun furry friend we found after school one day.

Brennan, Starry, and Taylor thought he was a very cool caterpillar.

We have decided that Brennan is certainly our most animated child, he is always pulling different faces at teh camera when it is facing him.

Cameron(another post that didn't post)

A fun afternoon will Cameron--he was learning how to pull to standing and getting his first tooth! These were taken Sept 2012.

Some forgotten posts that didn't post.

GAME NIGHT!!! What are you suppose to do when a tradition of playing Celestial Companions is on the line and one major participant is not in country? That is why Skype was invited!!

The Christiansen's won for the FIRST time ever!!!

Good-bye to Elder Wilson!! Mike got back just in time to say farewell.

Cameron--you must stop this!~

WHAT HAPPENED??? I'm not talking about the mess in the back ground either!

It's Happening

Cameron put his first ornament on his first Christmas tree--and he has left the tree alone for the most part. :)

We decided at the last minute to go to the store and let each kid pick out their own ornament to put on the tree this year--it was madness!! They came up with some amazing finds, I will have to admit that some were vetoed by mom and dad.
Carter was the star man this year--we had to check the blog to make sure who's turn it was. :) I should probably make a chart. :)

Mason watched the craziness happen for the most part and then decided that he would help out at the last moment. Mike and I had actually put up the tree and put lights on while the kids were at school which worked much better than previous years when the kids were waiting and waiting for all the technical stuff to be done before starting ornaments.

most boxes are sent....

I promise he was 'trying' to help...really 'trying'

Sometimes when the box is just a hair too small you have to improvise...

O' Christmas Tree!

Photo Mike took in our back garden, sometimes those naked trees can be gorgeous.
CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!! Christmas tree hunting!! We decided, as per Mike's desire, to cut our Christmas tree down this year. Outside of finding a forest in the dark and hoping not to get caught we Googled a location to do this and found one not to far from us. By not to far that means about 45 minutes. :)
A tree farm isn't the same as the mountains, but the kids LOVED it!! Finding the perfect tree was a bit of a challenge as the kids all had different opinions on what was the best tree.
Brennan contributed to the growth of the trees with his own watering system--quick no one is looking. That reminded Taylor that she also needed to contribute, but there is no picture of that. :)
Are we going for a short one this year??? They wanted us to cut one down for each of them!

Cameron was enjoying the outing of looking for his first Christmas tree!

WE FOUND IT!!!

We tried to take a picture ourselves, trying to balance your camera on another pine tree proofed a little difficult, but I think we got it. After some photoshop to lighten the image you can actually see us!
I had a moment of joy in my life when I watched our little ducklings follow daddy duck out of the field proud as can be of our Christmas tree. It was a sweet moment for me to just remind myself that all the chaos, all the drama is worth it!!

We took one more with our tree because we weren't sure about the quality of the other one, it looked too dark to salvage. You can't really see our tree in this one, however I loved it anyway. :)
