Ward Christmas party

We had our ward Christmas party last week. We had such a fun time. They had dinner and then the kids did a program. They dressed up in shepherd and angel costumes and sang Christmas songs. We love our ward, and are so grateful for all our friends.

Cayden in his shepherd outfit. The head piece is a real shepherd's veil that my mom got when they were in Israel.

I love Emma's face in this picture

Cayden's program, he found this string and couldn't stop running it through his teeth. I don't think he sang one word. He wouldn't get it out of his mouth.

And we are still flossing our teeth.

Cayden's face when daddy told him to get the thing out of his mouth and sing.

Santa. Cayden was so excited when Santa walked in.

Emma told Santa she wanted "a present" for Christmas. I guess she will be easy to please.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am horrible and didn't get any pictures of our Thanksgiving this year, so I just posted a couple of the things I am most grateful for. We went to my dads on Thursday and then to my moms on Friday. We had a lovely time and really enjoyed spending time with our family. This thanksgiving I have really been trying to focus on my blessings and help my Children see how much we have to be grateful for. I want to name just a few of the many things taht I am grateful for this Holiday season.

1. My husband, I am so lucky to have a husband who loves me and the Lord.
2. My children, I can't think about them without crying lately. I realize how blessed I am to have them, I love them so much.
3. My family, I love having them so close and that they are such a big part of our lives.
4. The Gospel
5. Freedom, to be living in this country.
6. The priesthood in my home.
7. The temple. Chuck and I have been going once a week the past little while and it really has been such a strength to me, I am so grateful that we have a temple so close and that I can attend so often.
8. Our freinds. We have the best friends and neighbors, I would not be the same without them.
9. The opportunity for higher education. I am so grateful that Chuck has the opportunities that he has, and that he works so hard to achive his dreams.
10. My Savior. My best friend, my support, my rock, what more can I say.
11. My home. I am so grateful we have such a beautiful home.
12. Healthy Children. We have had a few scares lately with the health of our children that have made me realize how blessed we are to have healthy, strong, intelligent children.
13. My juicer, this may sound odd, but I love having my fresh juice in the morning. And my kids stay healthy all winter if I juice for them everyday.
14. My new calling. I just got called as a ward missionary, it is definately stretching me, but that is why I am grateful.
15. My trials. I am grateful for the person that they help me to become. I am trying so hard to focus on being grateful for them instead of begrudging them. I really am so grateful that my Heavenly Father loves me so much, that he will give me the experiances that I need to become like him (even if it takes me like a million years to come anywhere close=)

I am grateful for the times that get me to reflect on my blessings and all that I have. I hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving.

Girls Night Out

All of my sisters are in town for Thanksgiving so Wed we had a girls night out. Mom came over and she taught us all how to make home made pies, YUM! Then we all went to dinner at Olive Garden and to see Australia. We had such a great time. I love spending time with my sisters and I am so grateful for their friendships in my life

Baby Jesus and temple pics

I made these for my friends and family for Christmas presents and I have had a few of you ask me if you could buy one. I finally worked out pricing, and if anyone is interested It would be $25 for a 8x10 and $40 for an 11x14. That price includes spray, texture and Masonite mounting. Anyway, let me know if you would like me to order one, It usually only takes about 4 business days to receive, and I can have it shipped directly to your home. I know they get more backed up in December, so if you want one let me know ASAP so I can get them ordered this week. Email me at amberlymeeker@hotmail.com. Thanks.

I have also had lots of requests for these temple pictures. I took the picture to do one for my own home, and I am surprised how many people have asked for one. They are personalized with your name and anniversary. I am going to do the SL, Provo, Jordan River, Manti, and the new Draper temple ASAP. These are also Masonite mounted, sprayed and textured. I really like the square one's of these. a 10x10 is $30, 12x12 $40, 11x14 $40, 14x14 $50, 16x20 $75, 20x20 $100, and 20x24 $120. For those who have expressed interest in ordering one, email me with the spelling of your last name, Wedding Date, and what size you would like. If you want it shipped to your house, please also include your address.

Thanks everyone. I am so glad that people are liking my stuff. Love you all.

Mommy Dates!

I have been wanting to take my kids on dates by themselves for a while. I finally found a time to do it. So for Emma's date we went to build a bear and she got to pick out and make her bear. She wanted a princess bear and of course it had to be pink. Now she has to sleep with it every night, she loves it so much. She named it Savannah, after her baby cousin. After we were done we went to the Disney store and she was in Heaven looking at all the fun princess toys. We had so much fun, I love the times that we can spend time alone and do girl stuff. She is so sweet and loving, and loves to talk about girl things. She will ask me about makeup and babies and princess'. We have such a great time together. Then later that afternoon my mom took Emma for me and I took Cayden to see Madagascar 2. It was so good, he loved it and was great for the whole movie, which never happens. Then I took him to get Hot Cocoa and a cookie and we sat and talked about School and his friends. I loved getting to spend one on one time with them, doing something they really wanted to do. I am so grateful for my kids. Not only do I love them so much, but I really like them. They have the coolest personalities and I always enjoy being with them.

A baby!!

We had a visit tonight from Laura and Baby Savannah. Laura was in town for my mom's good friend's funeral. My kids had so much fun with Baby Savannah, they love babies so much. After Savannah left this was their prayers tonight.

Cayden- "Dear Heavenly Father, please bless us to have a baby. Please bless us to have a baby quickly. Thank you for my family. Please bless us that we will have lots of other stuff besides a baby, like a puppy, and a fish, and a kitty. Amen."

Emma- "Dear Heavenly Father thank you for my family. Thank you for mommy, and thank you for daddy, and thank you for Cayden and Emma. Please bless mommy to have a baby in her tummy. Thank you for Jesus, Amen.

Do you think there is something they want here!! I don't know but it seems like they would like a baby. I told them that mommy and daddy have been trying for a long time and that we have been praying really hard for a baby, but if they start praying for a baby too, then maybe Heavenly Father will give us one. They are so sweet. I love how much faith they have. Hopefully this won't turn out with them wondering why Heavenly Father hasn't answered their prayers.

I've thought a lot about it lately and I really am so grateful for the two that I have. Even if I can never have any more, I am so blessed to have my little angels. I love them so much and they bring so much joy and love into my life. If I never have another baby I will feel completely fulfilled and grateful for the ones that Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I could never ask for more than the Lord's will be done, whatever that means. I have a friend who also has PCOS and she just recently found out that she can't have children. When she told me I literally started crying, I could feel the depth of her pain and loss. My Sister with PCOS tried for 10 years before she had her twins. Part of me feels guilty for having been blessed so much, when others with the same health problems as me have it so much worse. It really puts things in perspetive for me. No matter what happens from here, there are others that would give anything to have the two beautiful children that I have. I just can't say enough how grateful I am for my family. Besides talking to my friend about her infertility there have been a couple other things that have happened lately that have made me feel so grateful for all my Father has blessed me with. I have more than I could ever ask for.

Testament to Stay on Lip Color!

So we have had another make up disaster. No matter what I do I can not get Emma to stay out of my makeup. Everywhere we go she gets into all my friends makeup too. It is driving me crazy. Today we were all ready to go and I was getting Cayden in the car, I came in to get Emma and she comes walking down the stairs like this.

She said "now I'm ready mommy, I had to put on my makeup." She is such a little stinker. She had found my stay on lip stick and smeared it all over her face. This picture was taken AFTER I tried to scrub it off of her. It will not come off. It has been about 5 hours and it is still smeared all over her. We had to run our errands like this and I am not kidding you, people kept staring at her, I think they thought she had a birth defect or something. At least I know my new lipstick really works!!! I think I need to start hiding all the makeup, lotion and soap in my house, or else she smears it all over her body. Does anyone know of any kids makeup that doesn't stain, I was thinking maybe she'd like that for X-mas.

Visit from Davey and Baby Savannah

Laura and Dave were in town this weekend and it was so good to see them. Cayden and Emma were so excited to see their cousins. I couldn't believe how big Savannah had gotten. She is smiling and sitting up, and holding her own weight. She is so dang cute. Emma loved her and wanted to hold her the whole time. It was the cutest thing ever, Savannah seemed to really love Emma and she kept smiling at her and giving her kisses and holding her face. Emma was in heaven, and was so happy that Savannah liked her. Laura said she never kisses anyone but mommy, so she must have really loved Emma to be kissing her and holding her face. Baby Dave has grown up so much too, he is talking so much now and is really starting to look like a big boy. Anyway, it was so great to see them, we had a lot of fun.

Halloween

We had such a great Halloween. Cayden was Optimus Prime and Emma was a leopard, although I think she really wanted to be a princess because whenever anyone asked her what she was being she would say "A beautiful princess." I figured it was the last year I could choose what she was so I wanted to do something fun and cute. We trick or treated in our neighborhood for a while and then went up to my moms and tric or treated up there. It started raining and sprinkled the whole time, but the kids wanted to keep going. Now Emma has an ear infection, I wonder why?=) After trick or treating we put the kids to bed at my moms and watched a movie with my family. We had such a good time and it was so fun with the kids this year, they both understood and enjoyed what was going on.

My beautiful sister and cute little nieces!

I just posted these pictures on my photography blog, but I had to put a couple on here. These are just a couple of Becca that I shot while we were up the canyon today, I love the one of her and Emma. She is so beautiful, inside and out. I am so proud of the woman she is becoming. She is making so many good choices, and she really tries to turn her life over to the Lord and do what he would have her do. She is so much more mature than I was at her age. I love her so much, and I am so grateful for how wonderful she is to me and my kids.

While my nieces were out here to visit, I did their pictures for their Christmas cards. They have such sparkling personalities and it really shows in their pictures. I love them so much and I am so grateful that they waited to come till my kids were here too.

25 pounds

Well in case no one has noticed I am now 25 pounds lighter. Ever since my test results came back normal, my health seems to be getting better by leaps and bounds. The weight seems to be falling off me. I am still eating healthy and excercizing, but just the same as I was before. I know the Lord is blessing me and I feel so grateful. I can't believe how much better I feel, it really is a blessing that we take for granted to be in good health. It is wonderful not to have pain everyday, and to be able to play and run around with my kids without getting tired. I still want to loose about 25 more pounds, so keep your fingers crossed that the next 25 will be as easy as the first. My docter thinks that with all the weight I have lost it will be a lot easier for me to get pregnant, we have been trying for over a year now, so it would be such a blessing to be able to have another baby. Keep us in your prayers.

GO BYU!!

We had so much fun on Saturday. Mom and Ron have 4 season tickets to the BYU games, and they take turns taking us kids. Saturday was our turn, and we had so much fun. They got all four of us BYU sweatshirts to wear to the Utah game. They surprised us on Saturday and told us that they had gotten tickets for us to go with them to the BYU Utah game in November. We are so excited. My cousin Brock plays for BYU and it was so fun to get to go and watch him play. After the game we went to Goodwood with Brock and his family. Thanks Mom and Ron for taking us, we had such a great time.

Me and my sweetie!

Chuck and I with Brock, my cousin, he plays for BYU, we are so proud of him.

A few more!

Just a couple more pictures from the shoot we did up the canyon last week. The leaves were so beautiful. We had a lot of fun, the kids loved running around and throwing rocks in the river.

This is probly my favorite picture ever of Emma. I don't know why, it just looks like her, and her eyes aren't squinty.
