8 weeks old

Mark can float! I hold his head and he just floats the rest of his body, he seems to really enjoy it.

Here are some very cute pictures of Mark.

This link was posted on a message board I read. It is so funny I thought I would share it.

(Bob- it has a line about hearing the kids tiptoeing down the hall to wake you up and I thought of you)

Funny song about kids and sleep

Marks first trip over the continental divide

Ok, so we didn't take a photo the first time over on the way to Breckenridge, but on the way home we went across loveland pass and stopped and took a few photos. Also, it is his highest meal and highest diaper change.

Almost there:
Parked at the top

This is looking back down the road we drove up to get here.

Cute Mark pictures in Breckenridge

Mark is really happy about facing foward and seeing things, if only he could keep his up by himself all the time. Then I wouldn't have to hold his forehead back while we walk around.

Trip up to Breckenridge

We took a beautiful drive up to Breckenridge yesterday. This is a high plain in the Rockies on highway 285. It is amazing that there are farming over 10,000 ft high. We even passed a sign for the "two mile high school" :) You can see a small rain shower. One of the things I love about the west is how far you can see, being able to see rain storms and not be in them is amazing.

6 weeks old

Mark cant keep his head held up all the time, but is sttarting to like looking out. He sure looks chubbu in this photo- he is big but not that big.

Tim and Mark getting a little nap this afternoon.

Everyone was right, time just flys right by. It has already been 6 weeks since Mark was born. I sorted out the 0-3 month clothes today, he is too big for them, and the 3-6 month clothes are in the washer getting ready. Yesterday we took a trip into Denver, I got my hair cut while Tim and Mark walked around then we had lunch. Also, Tim and I left Mark for the first time last night, Lisa came over and watched him while time and I went to a dance class. A number of years ago we had taken a class with our friends Matt and Jaime, I really liked it and Tim was willing to attend. I thought it would be a fun way to make sure we got a little time as adults every week.

Baby loves his daddy

I have been trying all morning to upload a video I took yesterday that has Mark's reaction to Tim walking into the room. He just lights up- I guess I am not the only one who loves Tim :) Hopefully I will be able to get it up soon so you can see it.

Beautiful photos from our hike

It is really pretty here. My favorite landscape is between the first ridge "hog back" and the foothills there is a beautiful valley with red rock formations in it. These photos are taken from the foothills looking toward the "hog back". We heard this is title is because the ridge looks like the back of a razor back hog.

This is one of the LM plants in the area, what an absolutly beautiful setting. I've got to figure out what they do here, maybe I can work here when I am ready to go back to work :)

5 weeks old

On Friday Mark was 5 weeks old! Everyday I think how can he be this old already. We unscientifically weighed him on our gym scale (Tim with a baby vs Tim without a baby) and it seems he is a little over 13 lbs. I am not sure how accurate it is, but he sure is big. We went hiking on Saturday morning. Tim carried Mark in a pouch sling, he slept the whole way. Tim was very happy that we finally got to go into the mountains- even if it was only the very begining foothills. I was really happy to have my first real exercise here in Denver without any ill affects.

Proof that I am in Colorado too!
