Mark's Art - on exhibit
Mark's preschool had their art exhibited this month. We went to the opening- the kids had a good time- and were very proud of Mark's name up on the wall.

Bead
There are 20 photos of this bead on my phone- I don't know what is special about it (it is a greed rino) but apparently it needed to be looked at from every angle.
A preschool day
We started our preschool day making forest scenes in the sensory table. The kids were really into this and it went on for 30 minutes or more.
There was painting to be done. Mark has just stated to make representational art. The guy on the right is a rescue guy- he has a rescue helmet and a fire hose. I would say he is a fire fighter- but if I remember correctly he flew the helicopter in Mark's story about him. He was in the middle of painting a fire engine.
Lilly is glueing some wood together into a sculpture.
The last time Lilly had been at preschool Teacher Gail had chairs out for cleaning- I guess Lilly liked it so much that she asked Gail to get them out again. One of the great things about our preschool is that to the best of the adults abilities children's requests are honored.
When she was done with the chair she worked on some hammering.
Mark made this fishing net from items that were at the sensory table and some string. He transported fish all over and worked on ways to keep them from falling out.

The Ladder
Isn't the ladder cute!
Isn't the ladder fun to climb on?
Oh, wait. The ladder does this when you try to climb it- good for swinging- not good for getting into the bed. Fail. A new ladder is still waiting to be built- we got a cold snap and I just can't bring myself to work outside to cut some new wood.

Bed- putting up the rails
Lilly got into the action helping me drill the holes for the rails.
These rails may look easy peasy- but let me tell you- they took longer then the rest of the whole bed. Maybe twice as long.
Luckily the kids were helping :)

The kids new bed
I saw an awesome loft bed on pintrest and knew that it would be perfect for the kids room. Now that my back is healing I can do things again and this was first on my list. The kids helped clean out the room and bring in the wood that I had cut and sanded outside.

We ended our Denver trip with Breakfast at the Crepe place on the 16th street mall. We have been to this place a handful of times- it has lots of charm and the food is great. Best of all we got to sit at the bar and watch them being made.

A week or two after Christmas Mark asked if we could go stay at a hotel. I found a great deal online and we went for a Saturday night. We took the train downtown- riding it was a highlight of the trip.
