Wanna hear a song I wrote?

A few months back, I wrote a song for a my friend Ashleigh's demo. She is now in a competition sponsored by an LDS music site and the top rated singers and songs will be included on a CD. So, how cool would it be to have an original composition published and help Ashleigh become a famous recording artist? Here's how you can hear and rate the song:

Visit http://theneighborhoodjukebox.com/ Once you are there in the left hand corner it says JOIN THE JUKEBOX.

Click on that and to become a member and get an ID and password. You have to do this before you can rate the song. It doesn't take long, so don't get discouraged.

Once you have done that, sign in and go to "Rate Music." Search under "Inspirational" and you will find Ashleigh's name listed as "Erikka Ashleigh," which will be towards the end of the list. The song is called "Look a little closer." Have a listen, rate it, and tell me what you think.

Little Critter

Chris likes to experience nature to the utmost extent. This means if there is a body of water nearby, he must swim in it, and if there is a critter within arm's reach, he must catch it.

San to the Fran: Re-Cap

Absolutely gorgeous Golden Gate Bridge. The cables look like gigantic ropes of licorice.

Sarah and I got a laugh from this sign. Oops! There goes my missile!

I missed my flight back home all for a jar of Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce (I tried to take it with me as carry-on and got busted) One hot fudge sundae later I realized it was so worth it.

The Palace of Fine Arts, a giant classical gazebo with free-standing pillars featured in the frolicking scene from So I Married an Axe Murderer.

Feeding Swans at the Palace of Fine Arts park. Who knew swans ate grass?

Sarah and I had a wonderful time. If we got tired of walking, we would just sit on a bench and talk and talk, then get our second wind and sight-see, then stop for ice cream and talk some more. Yay for great friends and spontaneous mid-week trips!
