Hogle Zoo

Grandma Jackie planned a little outing to to see the animals get ice treats at the zoo. Although the animals weren't really into there ice treats we sure enjoyed ours. It was such a hot day that we put ice cubes down our shirts to cool off, one ice treat wasn't enough for us so Grandma treated us to some snow cones as well. We had fun seeing all the animals and there improved habitats. Ayden went shoeless all day as Dad left his tennis shoes on the couch thank goodness he at least had socks.

Draper Days Rodeo

Grandpa Ned and Grandma Sue took us to the rodeo last night. We had a great time watching them cowboys and girls perform. Although the rodeo clown was not that funny Chris did enjoy his joke about Mormon tequilla being kool-aid with a gummy worm in it. The kids had fun squirting the fan mister and sharing a snow cone to cool down. Addison had fun trying to crawl everywhere and getting everyones attention, but it seems she had more fun eating anything she could get her hands on for 4 hours straight. Her favorite treat that evening was the snow cone she was devastated if she had to share (as you can see in the picture below). As tired as she was she seemed to be the only one with enough energy to drive us home at the end of the evening.

Ayden enjoyed beating up his cousin Spencer and sneaking handfuls of popcorn.

Kelton was sick with a fever and was a good sport through it all even though he wasn't feeling himself.

Saige had fun cuddling with Grandma and participating in the cash calf chase with her cousin Isabelle where she earned big bucks.....$1.

As for Dad, we'll just say his heart was in it but his body wasn't. At least his intentions were great.

Happy Anniversary

Chris and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary today. Chris woke up this morning and said "I had a dream last night that someone got sick again for our anniversary".  Saige quickly replied "well I guess your dream came true".  It has seemed that the last few years, we are never able to do everything we wanted as one of the kids has gotten sick the night before or the day of. So, true to form our plans were a bit ruined when Kelton woke up with a fever. However we still had a wonderful day; thanks to my mom for watching the kiddos. We had planned on playing tennis first thing in the morning - or shall I say I was going to receive my first tennis lesson from the hottest tennis player ever! Unfortunately, that is the part that fell through.

However, we were able to spend the afternoon together getting a couple errands done and then going to Thanksgiving Point to enjoy a stroll through the Gardens. We ran into some friends who drove us around on a golf cart taking our pictures. We then enjoyed a quiet dinner together at the Harvest; although, Chris enjoyed his food, we laughed about how I would have appreciated a home cooked meal a lot more and saved the $40.00 plus dollars.

It is hard to believe that we have now been married going on 10-years. We talked about how we have been through so much, but at the same time - looking back it doesn't feel like it was that big of a deal. Our marriage has just grown stronger and stronger. It is so nice to be so much in love!
