Another House Update
Here's what the room is looking like now. We are almost done with everything. Basically all that is needed is taping, texturing, painting, siding and carpet. Note: We are not doing the last two ourselves as it would NEVER GET DONE! :) We are excited.

General Conference
How blessed we are to live in a time where we can turn on our TV's, radios, go online or to our nearest church to listen to the Prophet and Apostles. Even though it seems like I have inherited my mom's ability to fall asleep in the middle of conference, I still enjoy Conference Weekend!
Since our TV room is not able to watch TV in, Christian and I laid in bed and watched it. (Which made it difficult to stay awake!) We had fun listening to the principles being taught, eating popcorn and having our doggies by us. (On the floor of course!)
I loved the talks about temples and temple attendance. Christian and I have a love for the temple and the church's teaching of eternal families. I think that if I were not a member of the church, I would not have been able to marry Christian. The thought that he would most likely die at a younger age than most husbands and I would never seen him again would have been too much to bare.
The church is wonderful, the temple is wonderful, and even though at times it doesn't seem this way, life is wonderful! Happy General Conference Weekend everyone! Here are some pictures so you can be included on our comfy Sunday church attendance. :)
Christian's Medical Stuff
Thanks to everyone who sent letters to the Health and Welfare Committee on behalf of Christian. We are so touched and thankful for caring friends and family. We love you all very much.
The Good News:
The chair of the H&W Committee took a poll of the members on the committee asking who thought this bill should be tabled. (Meaning never make it to a committee hearing and be thrown out.) The majority said that they believed that this would hurt hard working, tax paying citizens and harm the lives of them and their families. The bill will never make it to Committee this season!
The Bad News:
The Joint Finance - Appropriations Committee (JFAC) is still doing budget cuts. They can basically pull the funding which would put a stop to the assistance that is sorely needed. We are going to go and "lobby" on Monday for our cause. Any help in forms of letters to members of the JFAC committee is greatly appreciated.
We know you have already taken time out of your schedule to help us, and we are very grateful. Right now we are fighting with JFAC and saying a lot of prayers. Our fight has included e-mailing you all, e-mailing the media, doing an interview with the news and trying to inform the public of what this means.
However, we know that all of this is done in vain if there are not prayers offered. If you do not have the time to write an e-mail, please remember this situation and Christian in your prayers.
Christian and I pray that JFAC will see what doing away with this funding will do to 40+ people in Idaho. Already this year, 4 adults with CF have died. It's a sad way to put it, but that just saved them at least $30,000 right there. Now they need to fund this program so this doesn't happen to young people who have years left to live.
Thanks again everyone!

Are We Crazy? Don't Answer That!
Like I just said in the previous post, we are not quite finished with the bathroom projects. We also aren't quite finished with the "walk-in-closet" project. We still have plenty of things laying around the house as many of you can attest to!
Our front room with two rooms of couches and chairs, miscellaneous paint, boxes full of things for D.I. and other items that I can not name because there is simply too much stuff to know!

So what do we do? We start another construction project. We are really excited to get it finished as it is the main project we have been wanting to do for YEARS! We are transforming our TV Room that once was carport turned into a garage turned into a family room. It still resembles a garage and our goal is to make it look like a room that was meant to be.
We have had a hard time finding people who could do the work for a reasonable amount of money. FINALLY, a friend at work's boyfriend was without a job and he does construction! We had them over and he gave us the right bid.
Friday night and early Saturday morning Christian and I worked to clear out what had become our "dumping ground." The room didn't look great and so we would just put random boxes etc. in the room. Needless to say, now our house is B-A-D! We have stuff and construction stuff in every room of the house.
The good news is that the first step of our remodel, which was to raise the floor, was completed on Saturday. Vince (our new BFF) said that he could probably finish the room by the end of the week.
Here are some pictures of what it's looking like right now. We are so excited! It's looking great already. I'm thinking that there might be a movie party in the near future! Angie, you might have to travel all the way to Boise from Moscow to attend. :)
Bathroom Update
Our bathrooms are almost finished! I just need to finish texturing, priming and painting the master bathroom. I did get the section textured, primed and painted above the sinks so we could put up the medicine cabinets and lights. (Thanks Dad for your help once again!)

What is a Cystic Fibrosis Appetite?
Christian has to eat an absurd amount of calories each day. I marvel at his appetite and some days wonder how it can be accomplished.

A few weeks ago Christian bought a new meat grinder. We thawed out some of our chicken and rabbit meat and ground it up to be used like hamburger. (We aren't huge beef people in this house!)
I made some of that into YUMMY chicken burgers and got all the fixin's ready for us to top our burgers. Christian piled his so much that we didn't know how he could fit his mouth around it. This is not an uncommon occurrence, but this time we decided to take a picture so everyone could see the difference between a regular person's hamburger and a CF person's.
Might I add that mine was pretty big also...I had a hard time getting my mouth around it. Welcome to our world!

Catch up.
Sorry I have fallen SO far behind on my blog. I haven't even checked out others blogs for some time. Hopefully this will let you know a little of what Christian and I have been up to!
