Nothing much is new with us. It is "The Rush" as we call it for work. Basically from the 19th - 30th it is CRAZY! Thank Heavens I have Christian and my office staff.
I have a wonderful office manager that knows her stuff and really helps me out. I have a part time person who knows her stuff and is AWESOME at interviewing new inspectors. This leaves me to do other things, like focus on current, new and future clients! It also doesn't hurt that I have AMAZING inspectors that make it so I don't have to worry too much about their work.
Once again, our profile was put up online. If you go to https://itsaboutlove.org and then click on the tab that says "Hoping to Adopt," (in the middle of the screen) then on the left, a menu will pop up. Click on View Adopting Profiles. You can search by our names or by our profile ID #2734898.
An easier way would be to just click HERE and it will take you right there. We appreciate our friends and family spreading the word. We are so excited and can't wait to be able to experience being parents!

Our Weekend
So our weekend was nice and relaxing. It started with our adoption profile being posted online on Friday!
Since we did our deep cleaning last weekend and on Monday (for our home study) we didn't have a ton to do on Saturday! So we slept in, exercised, did some light cleaning, played with the dogs and gave Mr. Bean a bath. I even got to READ A BOOK! It has been quite some time since I got to sit down for a couple of hours and just read.
I made meatloaf for dinner (SO GOOD!) and we had Kneaders' asiago cheese bread toasted in the over with a little shredded asiago cheese on top of the butter. It was delicious! We ended the night with a movie and popped popcorn.
We have decided that we don't take a ton of pictures...so that is a new goal of ours. We took pictures of Beanie during his bath, because he looks so funny. I tried to get a picture of his 'fro after his curls dried...but I don't know if it showed.
There is also a picture of Mr. Bean begging to go to church with us this morning! (No, we did not oblige...he had to stay home.) :)

What is a Parent?
Christian and I are reading parenting books to "prepare" (if that is possible) to parenthood. Man, we read a chapter and feel SO overwhelmed. I am going to start list of things I need to change...I am worried that it will be over two pages...single spaced, small print. LOL At least I am not the only one who feels a little unworthy of a child. Christian is going to make his own list too!
We had our home study yesterday and it went GREAT! It was a breeze. Even though my awesome family came over on Saturday and helped us put up trim, hang pictures, organize cupboards, put up baby locks and clean. :) I then proceeded to clean on Sunday (yes I know it was the Sabbath, but this was IMPORTANT!) and then more deep cleaning on Monday.
The upside is that the house is sparkling and that the home study went fabulously. The downside...they didn't look around much. I felt like saying, you need to open EVERY CUPBOARD! I organized them for you. I mopped, can you see your reflection? You didn't look around enough! LOL
Hopefully on Friday our profile will be online for birth parents to look at. Keep praying and hoping for us. They say it takes up to two years to adopt...I am hoping with persistence and perseverance we will get a child in 1 year. After all, we have beat all other odds, why not this one too?

Disneyland Pictures
For my Christmas present in 2009, Christian gave me a trip to DISNEYLAND! I had always wanted to go and he helped me live my dream. He got us an awesome suite not too far away from the park and it was just fantastic and Magical.
The only problem is that I am HOOKED! I crave being able to go and be a big kid again. Can't wait until we have a child so I have a bigger excuse as to why I need to go. LOL
