We took a little time off of work this week. Originally we were planning on going on vacation, but we had too many things on our "to-do list." So we did non-office work ranging from doing our taxes to getting the rental in order to rent to cleaning out or garage.
One thing we were able to do was to spend some time with Christian's grandma. She needed a ride to the doctors and so we went with her and got to take her to lunch also. She is so funny and is quite feisty! We always enjoy spending time with her.
During lunch, Christian was asking her if there was anything that she has wanted to do or see that she has not. We were both moved when she said, that all she ever wanted was to get a long with her husband and be happy.
We were talking about how worldly we are now-a-days. People, with their "bucket lists," always seem to need to go places or do something in order for them to feel like their lives are fulfilled. I am guilty of this as well. I would love to go to Scotland, Italy, Ireland, France, England, Africa, etc.
We should be happy with our lives and our families. The rate of divorces would not be 50% if we all feel the way grandma does. Her life goal was to get a long with her husband and have a happy family. When I am 90, I hope to look back and feel like I led a full life.
May we all be grateful for our lives and how blessed we are.

What Have We Been Doing?
Well Christian and I have been busy. We are hoping that our business will grow within the next couple of months. On top of that, we have purchased our first investment property a couple of months ago and have been working to fix it up and get it ready to rent.
Luckily the property was bank owned so they put in new flooring throughout the house, a new roof and new paint as well. Lucky for us, little needed to be done. Thanks to my Dad for helping put in the new dishwasher!
Here are some pictures showing us actually working! :)
