Ultimate Squirrel Picture

Cancel all the other squirrel pictures.
Here is the all time best one, so far. Isn't
the little fellow cute. Apologies to John and
Kim who will not be enthused or amused
with my choice of pictoral subjects.

Elder Cumming (other Zone Leader, Ohhhhhh--
he is from Southeast Nevada, where Jane's friend Patrece
is from and where some Beckstrand relatives
live, but can't remember the name), Elder
and Sister Jenkins (Donnoly, Idaho) and us'uns--
Dad and the "Close to Home" lady.

Animals in North Carolina

Monday night we had dinner up in the
forest with Claudia Peterson and her
sister-in-law, Susan Carter. It was dark
when we came home. On the way down
the mountain, sitting in the middle of the
rutted dirt road, was this little fellow. In
this picture he had laboriously moved
over to the side of the road. Opposums
move very very slowly at best, but this
one had a hurt front leg and moving along
to safety was a big chore for him. Dad
got the pictures because the little beast
just couldn't get going very fast.

Little Tennessee River

This river flows all through the area.
John, Kim and Allan will remember it
being by the Greenway Trail area (near
the little park). Brother Steve Hensley
says it flows north and there is only one
other river in the US with tht distinction.

Home Teaching

Heading up to Donna Scruggs
home, you see the difficult road.
The first time we went up there
last September, we just hiked up
this part of the road. Today and
last month we drove. It is very
steep and feels like the car is going
to tip over backwards.
