Nikwasi Indian Mound

This Indian Mound is in the center of town. They
now it and take care of it but not much else. We were
here nearly a year before I knew what it was. I think
the mound is a Cherokee burial area. The "Middle"
Cherokee group lived in Franklin before they were
driven out in the 1800's

Cute Rabbits

There are these cute little rabbits
all over the area here. They are
smaller than regular rabbits and
are to be found hopping around
here and there in the woods and
in the populated areas.

The Deep Dark Woods

See the deep dark woods. See the
owl in the deep dark woods. See the
eyes of the owl. Eric Burch says that
where the borders of North Carolina,
South Carolina and Georgia (see a map)
meet is the place where criminals like to hide out
so they can escape from which ever
jurisdiction is after them. We have been
in some pretty dense woods where it would
be easy to "get lost" from "the law."
