Merry Christmas!

Christmas was wonderful this year. I was so grateful just to be able to be home and spend some relaxing time with my family. Wow I've missed living at home. We all got PJ's from our own school. We had a wonderful morning and were totally spoiled like usual. I am so blessed. I got a desk for the new apartment I'm moving to. Avenlea and I get the awkward moment of the year award for giving McKay coal and he really thought that was all we'd gotten him, haha, and Carlisle and I spent hours playing Call of Duty: Zombies on his new IPOD. It was a great day!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is one of my favorite days of the year. We always spend it with my Grandma Green eating yummy food, playing games, unwrapping presents, and loving being together. We were missing our dear Papa Dick, but are grateful that he was able to spend Christmas in heaven this year.

- Singing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus -

- We love you Papa Dick! -

"My First Christmas in Heaven"

I see the countless
Christmas trees
around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars,
reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular,
please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with
Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs
that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you,
the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description,
to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain inside your heart.
But I am not so far away,
We really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones,
You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift,
from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory
of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious
than pure gold.
was always most important
the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other,
my Father said to do.
I can't count the blessing or love
has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and
Wipe away that tear
Remember, I am spending Christmas with
Jesus Christ this year

Temple Square photoshoot

It finally really felt like Christmas when I made it home and we went to Temple Square to see the christmas lights. We laughed our hearts out at Carlisle who would not give us a good face for a picture! I love my family... so glad I get to be home with them for Christmas!

P.S. We did finally end up with a pretty good one. haha

Christmas USU style!

I had to spend the majority of Christmas break in Logan due to work, but it didn't disappoint. Gingerbread house makin with the neighbors, christmas party with my friend Nate as Santa (he sure made a great one!), and the Aggie Bull wishing us a Merry Christmas at a basketball game where the Aggies totally dominated the court... good times!

(P.S. I recently discovered this amazing app to create these fun photo collages. I'm a little addicted if you can't tell. :)

The Most Beautiful Bride

Once upon a time in November one of my best friends Abby called me to tell me she was engaged and 4 short weeks later she went with her prince to the Salt Lake temple and was married. I am SO grateful I was able to spend that day with her. I may or may not have gone to the bathroom and cried for 10 minutes after the ceremony. It was beautiful, the temple sealing truly is an incredible blessing. I am so happy for her and she was absolutely stunning. The most beautiful bride I have ever seen. Love her and am so happy for her and Jason!

Goodbye Sisters!

These girls were my best friends during my 2 weeks at EFY and I love them dearly! They are amazing and now they are all off to serve the Lord for 18 months!
I got to spend a wonderful night at Temple Square with Kaitlyn and Rachel before they left. Session at Salt Lake temple, spent about 30 minutes in the celestial room learning amazing things from these girls, then seeing the beautiful Christmas lights, and finishing off with a yummy treat at Crown Burger. Love these girls!! They are going to be AMAZING missionaries!

1st snow

This is one of my favorite memories of fall semester. The first night it snowed in Logan Hailey and I spontaneously decided to build a snowman. We were in one of those crazy good moods and it was so fun!

enjoy the moments

I look up at these stairs two times a day every Tuesday and Thursday and usually want to turn around and go back home. But this afternoon I stood there at the corner of the street looking up and just felt so happy. So happy that I walked up the stairs, walked down them, and then walked up them again. Crazy? It was such a beautiful fall day and this hill with it's green grass, trees, and colored leaves just captured my attention. The cool air, the warm sun, I just wanted to soak it all in. I love fall. I love Logan. I love Utah State. I'm so glad I'm here. I love these moments when I am just hit with so much gratitude for life and all my blessings. Happy November everyone!
